I'd say this is a video of things to come. Maybe here in America, if we continue down the same borrowing path. Maybe we should listen to the liberals and turn in all our weapons now. Anyone who doesn't understand what the rest of the world thinks of America needs to watch the video.

There's really not enough info on this video to really know what's going on. I heard once that this kid had stolen something and was caught, but I just don't know.

The vid is 3+ years old, and while sickening, because they broke his fingers and wrist, it was probably because he was caught stealing.
He didn't look 'white' to me.

Whether or not he is white or purple, whether or not he stole something, adults standing around watching a kid that age being abused out in the open and not stopping it should have their butts thoroughly kicked. Men and women alike. It was sickening to watch, because it appears that the kid actually endured that at some point in time.

The little brat was caught stealing and deserved this beating in the Chinese culture.... FYI--a little of this should come to this country and we would not have all the crime we have today.

Instill a massive amount of public shame on rat (no matter their age) and they will not be repeat offenders.

That's a lot of speculation drawn from a video that we know nothing about. It's a disgusting display of cruelty, of which people of all nationalities have proven themselves capable. But I can't see where it has a single thing to do with what the rest of the world thinks of us. We don't even know the nationality of the kid, nor what happened to cause the backlash against him.

It's cultural punishment where honor is very big thing over there. So you will see a fair amount of street justice and public shame. I don't think it's right, but it is their system to run it as they see fit.

The child was terrified, keyword child. I am no enemy of corporal punishment, but breaking a small child's wrist for punishment is savage.

I tried watching the video via link provided, and it was a 4+ minute video seemingly played at 1/2 speed, eg. the audio was all distorted. At about 2:15 left to play, the picture froze while the distorted audio kept playing. So I watched the video on another site, where it was a 2 minute video that played at normal speed. I'm not sure if this is all due to my phone, or how the video actually is.

I mention this all because unless there was a lot more of the video that I didn't see on either site, all I can say is holy over-reactions Batman! The kid didn't receive any broken bones in the 2+ minutes of video that I watched, not even close. He started screaming for effect as soon as anyone touched him, and also because I'm sure he was scared ****less too. The adults were trying to scare/terrorize/teach a lesson to the kid (I cannot say which because I don't speak the language spoken in the video), not seriously hurt him. That much is obvious. Schoolyard fights at that age are a lot more vicious. If it was indeed for being caught stealing, kid got off pretty light. At that age, had I been caught stealing, my own parents would have done worse to me.

Again, this is all provided that I did see the entire video, and not miss a severe beating that came later. My phone showed the same video from a couple of sites, so I do believe I saw it in its entirety.

Americans are and have been just as cruel. Cruelty isn't country specific people. Stuff like this happens everyday all over the world, the problem is humans are cruel animals nothing more nothing less.
