Where does everyone get these large bags of Pinto beans. I live right outside Philly and can't find anything bigger than 4lb bag. I've looked in every whole sale club and Mexican store in a 20 mile radius. Any ideas? Or does anyone have a inexpensive, reliable internet source?

If I were you, I'd ask at the Mexican store if they can get larger quantities (and at a discount).

I get 20-pound sacks at a local grocery store chain (I think there are 5 stores) called Woodman's. That's the best I can do.

I get mine at Sam's Club. They aren't big 50 lb. bags though.

Do you have a food co-op near you? They often carry bulk foods of this type.

If you have a sunny spot in your yard they are easy to grow. Plant seeds from store bought bags. 1# about 1.40. They are half runners which means they have a runner about 4 feet long. You don't have to stick them. Train the runners together and they'll do fine and produce big time. Rich ground or lightly fertilize the soil is all you need. Let them dry on the vine. Then pick and let dry a while longer before storing in an air tight container with moisture absorber.

That restaurant wholesale says you need to be a a business or a member of a non-profit.

You may very well fall into the same "bean" hole (LOL) I'm in. Nothing around here in a 25 mile radius that I know of but 1 pound bags. I ordered mine in 6 gallon pails from Emergency Essentials. That may not be the least expensive option but one that I chose. Good luck.

My Costco does not carry large bags of any beans, but it is where I get my 50 lb bags of rice, sugar, salt and 10 lb boxes of oats. Other things also but no beans. :(
Ask them if they can order them. Or, just order it online from Costco

At the Ford dealer, wait, they don't make them any more, and they all burned up.:upsidedown:;)

BAhahahaha, I get it now. LOL :D:

Here in NC only certain Sam's Cliubs have them in 20lbs bags and 10lbs bags. So if you do go to one Sam's club they may have them and another not in the same area, go figure.
The 20lbs sell for about $15 and the 10lbs sell for about $7.
