The dem machine threw up the most obvious PC guy out there knowing no matter who they choose, anyone would beat *any* rep candidate b/c of the bang up job W. has been doing. And they were right. Well whatever happened to the War on Terrorism? Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is pretty much saying that we better not be fighting in Iraq for the oil, because we have plenty of oil in Alaska!

I give Palin credit for even suggesting that the War in Iraq might be about the oil.

Wow, did I just see what I think I just saw? She's the wild card. She's the one that could shake things up in Washington. I have this odd feeling that the people that selected her may not have known what they were getting themselves into. This should be fun to watch if her and McCain win out.

Where is she? Maybe the witches got her. Look, she is exactly what McCain said he thought of as a VP. Someone to go to state funerals and similar functions. She'll look hot in a black dress and not be expected to do anything to contribute (get in the way) of McCain's plans.

She was a publicity stunt that got its bang for the buck. Now, its fading and McCain has to find a new way to change the conversation...ie "can I get a timeout, things are going to hell in the proverbial handbasket and I need to find some way to draw attention."
