Most effective means of hunting pigs is using dogs. I won't want even start rambling as to what some of the hunters I know use out here, because I doubt you guys will believe me.

But dogs are necessary. Like a few dogs. Like more then 3, and you don't really want a rifle. You want a blade. Most of the hunters I know who go after pig don't even bring guns. They just have a blade, because it's so thick where the need to go in that a gun is just dangerous and cumbersome. They are worried about pass through hitting one of their dogs.

In order to effectively hunt boars, you must get on their "level". LOL
