Where can I obtain Gold, silver, etc. Coins?

Hey guys, could somebody tell me where I could buy gold coins, silver coins, etc. for bartering after TSHTF? Can you get them at a bank, a jewelery store, or what?

Also, how much of them should I buy and will they actually be useful after a disaster?

I buy silver morgans and those 10oz bullion bars,when i can afford it i will buy1/10 and 1/4 gold eagles.Oh yeah the silver eagles are good to.Silver is just fine for those of us who cant afford gold,or for that matter platnum,wich i would love to get my hands on!
