Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone here knew where i could buy a modern gas mask that would protect me from most if not all dangerous chemicals in the air if TSHTF and there is a chemical attack.

That mask has one serious draw back. You have to take it off to change the filters and they are not easy to change. It takes several minutes if you practice and are good at it.

I prefer something with an external filter so that if you have to change it in a contaminated environment you simply hold your breath unscrew the old one, screw the new one on clear your mask and continue about your business.

You are correct !
I, however, am government trained with tha M-17, and this is identical, but covers bio also.
At the price, buy several, and a change takes less then 15 seconds.
I have 6 of these, and 4 M-17 mask, including 30 and 60 filters.
They work, and for 12-14 hours of continuous exposeure.
If you do not have mop gear, and decontamination capability, everything is a waste.

Im not too concerned about an external attack with WMDs or anything. But the 1st scenario is more likely IMO.

The ones posted here are just fine, cheap hence disposable.
perfect function for which you are asking.
$200.00-$500.00 is unacceptable for a short term use, disposable situation.
Buy 5, and you can venture too several outings

If you're referring to the one I'm selling, mine is a new M40 current production, current issue mask, that's new in the box. It's not an outdated reject from Israel.

Every time I hear this argument I get a link to this site. You do know that they make there bussiness selling new gass masks right? "How can we sell more of thiese expensive gass masks guys".... " I know we can write up an article saying that the old surplus masks will kill you, that's the ticket". They are the only folks I've seen saying this online. Every one else seems to have a link to them that has this view.

Maybe it's ligit information but I have a had time believing it, due to me not finding any one else saying the same that isn't conected with them.
