What pellets to buy

I had a little extra money this month, so I decided to buy an air rifle. It is a .22 cal, break barrel type made by Crossman.

My question is, what type pellets should I buy? What weight and shape are best for small game such as rabbits? Also, where is a good place to buy them?

I thought that it would be much cheaper to shoot than my Ruger 10/22, but the pellets that I saw advertised cost almost as much as bulk .22LR ammo.
I buy Remington bulk (525 pack) for about $20.00, which is about 3.8 cents per round. The pellets I saw advertised were between 2.9 and 3.6 cents each. Does this sound correct?

Here is where I get all of my air gun supplies. http://www.pyramydair.com/
I like to get several different kinds of pellets and try them in a new gun to see which ones it like the best. However, I have had great luck with any of the pellets that Beeman makes.
I hope that this helps.

p.s. Buy 3 cans and get the 4th can free

Test pellets and see which your gun prefers. I find that plain ol' bulk pellets work fine in mine. They don't give match grade accuracy, but are plenty accurate and powerful enough for hunting. I buy higher grade pellets for paper shooting. But the bulk pellets are also cheap enough to really stockpile. I used to buy bulk Crossman, but they were imbalanced, malformed and generally pretty crappy. Though they still worked ok. My last purchase was a bulk load of chinese pellets. They were cheaper than Crossman and far higher quality.

If there's one thing the chinese are good with, it's lead! :D:
