I am in CA. and when I hike/backpack or camp I always carry a weapon loaded. What I want to know is the legal definition of loaded or unloaded. Even though I do carry a loaded weapon in those situations I figured I should find out what the law is. I have looked all over the internet and I keep getting different answers. Some sites say in the chamber is loaded and others say just in the magazine is considered loaded. If there are any LEOs on here that might have the correct answer I would appreciate it.
