What is an "Auto Saftey Sear"?
I certainly know what an auto sear is. Is the safety part just a word thrown in to make it legal to sell?

If you have seen the add for one in Shotgun News stay away. Anything manufactured with the sole purpose of converting a gun to a machine gun is, by definition, itself a machine gun. Just because they added the word safety does not make it legal.

You must have read my mind, it was a shotgun news ad that I have been looking at. I don't have any interest in converting any gun to full auto but I was wondering if thats what that part did.

yes it is. there was a guy on another forum for ak-47's and he had to have a nice heart to heart with the atf because he got sent a full auto trigger group instead of what he thought was a regular double hook semi trigger group.
