on the list of most dangerous cities in Texas. Our little town of under 20,000. You have a 1 in 96 chance of being a victim of violent crime and a 4% chance of being a victim of a property crime. BTW, Houston came in 7th.

I've been in Lubbock at least 50 times in the past 20 years and I have never, ever felt at risk.


That's one of those Texas, "country cities" where you screw up and you might be facing 20 people with a gun.
