I had a really expensive Suunto whose watchband broke. Suunto did not have any replacement bands that would fit nor could they suggest an aftermarket one that would fit. I called them several times and they weren't sympathetic or helpful at all. Just get a new watch was what the customer service person told me.
Contrast that with my 20-year old Avocet where watchbands are still available and batteries can be replaced at the service center.
I would never wear a Suunto if one was given to me free.
