I received this question off of youtube, does anyone have any information on a blond stock set for the WASR-10??

Hey Kevin, I wanted to ask you about the wasr 10 AK47. Are there some models that come with blond wood stocks? I have a wasr10 gp but it doesnt have that, it came with dark wood stock out the box.

This is a link to the one im talkin about http://s299.photobucket.com/albums/mm306/Edsta713/AK47/?action=view&current=wasr.jpg

and this is my AK i bought http://s299.photobucket.com/albums/mm306/Edsta713/AK47/?action=view&current=100_0206.jpg

Can you please let me if the "blonde" model was an early production or where i might be able to find those light wood stocks for sale. I want to exchange my wood. Thank you.

He could also pull his wood, strip them down, sand them to open the wood pores and then bleach the wood. Then if he wanted, he could come up with a light yellow or golden tint for it and finish the wood. Just a thought. Not sure what kind of wood it is, but most wood will bleach, unless it is a truly dark wood to begin with.

It looks like a stock set that was sold by an outfit out of Houston TX. bothof the sets have a US made pistol grip. I wish I could see the rear part of the butt stock on the blonde set. If you find a factory installed rubber bumper pad there it could be a Yugo set. not likely though. I agree with one of the posters above, I would change out the stocks anyway and put on a Bulgarian style polymer set. The pin the the fore grip lower will brand you when the barrel gets hot.
