I feel like this pack is a very high value piece of gear so I want to share it with the rest of you. Built for the military so they are very rugged and durable. You just dont have to worry about it. Holds tons of gear, rated for 120lbs. Easy to find for around 60-75 bucks. great for car bag, bob, emergency bag, hunting or camping/hiking. If anyone else has experience with these please share your opinion!

Great review, but where are you finding these (complete), for $75 bucks. Anything you see on ebay is usually missing stuff (the lid, etc), or very pricey.
Just have to look for it. Got the main bag and the assault bag for about 70 bucks. Needed to be soaked in the bathtub and then scrubbed down but had all the pieces.

I carried the ILBE for several years. It sucks. I vastly prefer our new USMC Pack system that has a frame. The entire system can be had for about 300 bucks and wow what a difference. Keep in mind this 300 dollar system includes: camelbak, 3 day assault pack, main pack, and several sustainment pouches.

When I get out of the Corps I will definitely buy that system as it is that good.

im not sure why you says it sucks. I have used mine dozens of times and it works great. I have one in my house with a 72 hour emergency kit and clothes packed in it. One in the car and an empty one i take camping, hunting and took to alaska on a fishing trip. It works very well for me

and again im a value oriented buyer. $75-$125 is really all i want to spend. Of course if you send $300 your going to get a better system, or at least I hope you do. But for all my purposes camping, hiking, hunting this pack is amazing and wont break the bank

I bought my ILEB Main pack and assault pack in on Amazon, from BlackStar Surplus. This pack is as perfect for me as it comes. It's just big enough that I can backwoods hike and take everything and perfect when I go backpacking in other countries. The comfort far exceeds my Army issued ones and is far easer to handle. It's extremely durable and with regular civilian use almost weekly I think it will literally last my lifetime. The assault pack is good but I actually like my Army one far better.
Highly recommend this pack!

Hike 10 to 15 miles with one and you'll see. :thumb:

Honestly though that 300 dollar system is a STEAL for all it comes with. It is Mystery Ranch and Camelbak goodness. :D:
