Scuttlebutt says within 30 days longshoreman, truckers and railroad will be striking until the mandate is removed. Anyone else hearing similar?
I have not heard anything but I do have a couple of immediate thoughts:

1) Since the nation is already seeing major shortages in goods I guess a few more shortages won't be a big issue (I'm saying that tongue and cheek and with a certain amount of facetiousness).
2) I'm almost pulling for them. Someone needs to stand against Fauci ... I mean Biden ... and the unconstitutional mandates.
3) These union workers got what they bargained for. Most unions support lefty lunatics in the voting booths so they shouldn't be surprised when lunatic policies are foisted upon them.

Not sure what to think. Stores wll quickly run out of food. The resulting riots will make the BLM protests look like childs play. I can see it quickly turning into martial law.
Preppers in the inner cities and surrounding areas should have gotten out years ago but if they haven't ... they better start thinking very seriously about it. Like today!!

I wish they would.

This is one thing we plebians CAN do, and it would be guaranteed to bring this crap to an end. Paralyze the country, make people mad.

We as the little people can't do much, but this would be absolutely guaranteed to be something the elite could not ignore.

It would be nice but if they do it the left would figure out some way to finger **** it and make things worse as usual.

Some of us don't have the ability to leave due to economic reasons, I bought myself a new 2021 jeep grand cherokee Ltd 4x4 for just that purpose... I've repeatedly tried to explain to the wife, but she's got her head in the sand... so in frustration I told her if we have to leave, and she refuses to go with me I'm leaving her behind. Currently putting a car bob to carry to garage where the jeep is parked. Any suggestions from you folks that have already?

Some of us can't. My wife and I both have really good, really high paying jobs. Our house has ridiculous amount of equity. We would be stupid to leave. Plus, my elderly father is here and I wouldn't leave him. With that said, I have enough stocked to be able to stay put for at least 4 months. In my garage alone I have a 275 gallon water tank, and that's not including the water we have stored inside the house. I live far enough from the city though to where it would take a while before we see things happening here, plus we live close to a military base and have tons of active military living around us and they're all conservative and armed. I am not concerned, whatever happens I will fight till the end regardless of where I live. When we retire, that's a different story. We're moving to the boonies. Until then.... bring it.

Same reason I always make sure I buy 4x4 trucks. Has utility, but if SHTF I can go load up and be practically anywhere.

Trust me guys. I have complete empathy for both of you. I wish you the very best. I've spent the majority of my life in or near big cities. Two years ago, I simply had it with Denver and gave my boss a three week notice. I sold a ton of stuff; gave a bunch away; and threw a bunch away and took a one-way drive out of Denver. It was a leap of faith. I decided I was either going to head towards southern Utah or northern Arizona. I landed in southern Utah. The price of living is much less than it was in Denver and yet I ended up finding a job that pays almost exactly what I was making in Denver. My faith paid off. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

Whatever you decide ... I pray for your total safety and contentment.

Still looking for more than rumors, but found this story this evening on CFP. Unfortunately may be doing a disservice... DFW is in the midst of what was a hurricane, so truly the 'weather' could be causing flight delays. Both American and Southwest are DFW-heavy, so this weather could truly be the culprit this time... or a sickout could be occurring (less likely):

Other than rumor, this is the only concrete thing I could find, and my trust level is fairly low here:

"...we have been made aware there is an upcoming sickout planned for this week at multiple airlines..."

I have not heard this. Doubt the longshoreman will be involved. I live near a major west coast port and all the Longshoreman I know are classic union supporters of the Democrat/Left and anything they do or say (including the mandate). I am always surprised by this as they seem to be working class conservative folks but when it comes down to it they are democrat through and through and are as party line as it gets. Though I really shouldn't be as socialist movements around the world throughout history have been aligned with unions (workers party). All my other "union" friends/acquaintances have dumped that old school mentality and are mostly republican/conservative despite their unions pumping them to vote Dem.
Have heard lots since last fall about the truckers going to slow down/strike to protest; the election, Jan 6, lockdowns, etc but nothing official is ever reported as occurring. Maybe the supply chain issue with "lack of truckers" has been this all along and is the media covering it up like they have done of late with weather and cancelled SW flights? It definitely makes me more resolved to keep stocking up on what I can while it is still in stock.
