It's not "The UN", it's the world heritage organisation, which is part of the UN. It's not about occupying world heritage sites with foreign troops in order to steal the guns and impose gay marriage or whatever Alex is ranting about this week, it's about helping to preserve world heritage sites so future generations can enjoy them.

The UN doesn't want the Alamo, nor does anyone else, just (some) Americans.

I've seen noting to suggest a UN flag will fly there. Other sites don't seem to have them. Looks more alarmist stirring from Alex Jones.

Those who aren't Texans probably don't understand exactly what sort of anthill turning the Alamo into a UN world heritage site will kick over for those of us who are. This isn't some hiking / camping destination in California. It's like selling Pearl Harbor to the Chinese.

The Alamo is better than State run, it is privately run. The Daughters of the Republic of Texas have been taking care of The Alamo since 1905 and I cannot see them asking, or allowing, the UN to do this....but I'm not a member so who knows.

That is a different issue to the issue of UNESCO. You personally may wish to leave the UN, but that does not validate any claims from Alex Jones about UNESCO occupying, owning or flying flags over UNESCO locations.
