Things getting interesting with TD 13 and 14

Looks like this hurricane season may be about to get really interesting, as if 2020 hasn't been special enough already.

I'm sure many folks on here are watching what's rolling off the coast of Africa very closely. Y'all be safe!

Thanks. I’m in Bay County FL. After Michael in October 2018, everything else is not worth getting excited about. We installed hurricane shutters on the house earlier this year. That being said, we’ve got food, fuel, water and sanitation covered. May dash out and grab some ice if it looks like we’re going to be hit.

I just hope we don't get all the NOLA trash if New Orleans is affected. We got the dregs of the whole city, a more entitled bunch I have NEVER met, after Katrina. People honestly expected free food, housing, utilities, etc for the REST OF THEIR LIVES because they had been through this.

I only met one decent human out of this, he used his FEMA money to rent a cab and buy a gps (this was 2005 after all) and parlayed his earnings into next week's lease, etc. until he was independent of all government assistance.

So really hoping we don't have to deal with that again. IMO it looks like at least one if not both storms will hit New Orleans.

Two Hurricanes in Gulf of Mexico

Looks like parts of Texas and Louisiana are about to get a double whammy. Just in time for school to start back. Hopefully people will not end up in crowded shelters, what could be the worst to happen in a global pandemic.

Did some work on my generator
Filled up a couple of 5 gallon gas cans
Currently charging the LED lanterns - they stay charged anyway, just topping them off
Going to charge the batteries I have around the house

Looks like we are in for a heck of a week.

Yay! Going to be awful in Houston this week.

Here's to hoping I can get a 3 month on the blood pressure pills before this all goes down. I have been restocking canned goods so they are good and I always have plenty of water.

I went to work and stocked all my inventory so there is little left for management to steal like they did during Ike.

1 of my favorite youtube channels, an older couple Danny and Wanda of Deep South Homestead lives just 30 miles north of the gulf coast right outside of Wiggins, Mississippi.

They are battening down the hatches. They put in a 16ft wide, 12 ft high, 30 ft long high tunnel/greenhouse back in Feb and started construction on another 1. Plus had 2 1 acre ponds dug about a month or so back. Hopefully their ponds get filled in but I hope their high tunnel/greenhouses and all their gardens handle the storm alright.

This is why I think we need to dig a seaway through Mexico. Flush that damn hot water out of the Gulf and greatly reduce the annual Hurricane power source.

That heat energy needs to leave the Gulf one way or the other.
Either via a harmless steady ocean current, or it will blast our coastal cities with hurricanes annually UNTIL THE END OF TIME.

Build it once, cry once.
