What caliber, what gun?

 

11 days and 3 pages later, still no answer.

 

I will buy whatever you have left for 1/2 what you paid for it....seeing as how it sucks and all.

 

Smells like a pistol to me.

Misfires during practice are good. You need to practice dealing with misfires.

I stock the cheapie steel cased stuff. I just have a smaller quanity of quality stuff when I need the firearm to be reliable.

Practicing with expensive ammo is just a waste of money.

 

Odd, I fire tula 7.62x39 in my built AR15, Tula 223 in my built AR15, Tula 380 in my Kel Tec P3AT, Tula 9mm in my Kel Tec P11, Glock 23 (with Wolf 9mm barrel) and in my S&W 6906, Tula 40 in My Glock 22 and 23, Tula 45 in all my 1911 built 45's as well as my Glock 30 and have no problems.

Bought some tula small pistol primers some time back. Have had numerous misfires in two different pistols with them. Gives me practice clearing misfires, but would not use for anything other than plinking loads. Will not order them again. Appears to be hit or miss on quality control. Some have ordered their producst with good results, others result in posts like this!

 

Ive shot many a round of Tul and Ive only had 1 round not go bang and it had a bad primer. That was 1 out of many thousands, ill take those odds at the range. I always kinda felt if your gun doesnt run all ammo dont blame the ammo blame the gun. If I get a new gun and its picky with ammo its time to get another.

 

I've shot plenty of Tula and never had an issue.

Maybe your pistol or rifle doesn't like steel cased ammo?

Soviet guns=Steel cased
NATO guns=Brass cased
(in a lot of cases anyways)

I have a bunch in storage, have fired a bunch, and have only had issues with one box. There were chunks missing out of the casing necks and had powder loose in the box. It was a tad bit ridiculous. But not a single problem with the other 200 +/- boxes I've purchased.

 

Really? Good reviews for tulammo? I can't stand em. Tulammo sucks! But thats just my personal experience I guess. I have an SKS (7.62x39) That shoots amazingly well for a Norinco, unless its Tulammo. Then it misfires and misfeeds. I also have a CZ P-07 Duty, that is impeccably built and never had a single issue for over 1000 rnds., until I used Tulammo. I got at least one misfire from every mag. with the cheap stuff. Maybe there are different grades of quality available? Are you guys that like it buying it online or direct? Maybe they save the crappy stuff for the Wal-Marts, where I got mine.

 

My AK and my wifey's .380 Sig eat that cheap steel cased crap like it's candy......

But my S&W 915 hates it, jams, misfires, won't feed it through the mag.

Guess those Euro-guns like that cheap crap......

 

My Kimber Raptor II runs .45 tulammo all day long without a hiccup. I buy it all the time a walmart but I am starting to look for brass cased stuff more and more since I am going to get into reloading

Depends. If the gun is cheap, its cheap crap (like the ammo).

If it's expensive he's just "breaking it in".

 

no problems with Tula here, but i buy mine from gun shops or CTD.
I stay away from Walmart ammo

 

Yeah, all the USA stuff is actually made in Tierra Del Fuego with Malaysian labor using powder from Ecuador.

Of course, the Russian stuff is actually made in Bangladesh by Pakistani eunuch dwarfs .

I only put the Russian stuff in Russian guns. Had no issues there but it won't come anywhere near my good stuff. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience OP.

I shoot it in my AK with NO problems...

 

The only issue I have had is only being able to load 5 rounds in one of my 9MMs. The other 9s eat em just fine, the AR loved steel cased ammo when I had it, my M1 carbine likes it to. I use it for practice so I don't loose loadable casings in the grass. Its good ammo, if you feel the need to buy expensive ammo go for it, it don't bother me.

 

I only use Kommie steel ammo in Kommie rifles and pistols and have had only one total, complete misfire (dud) that I can remember. The rest (a handful) fired on the second try. This is out of many cases (1000's) bought through the roughly 20 years I've been shooting these calibers.

I've even found Wolf ammo sitting out on the ground that had been exposed to weather over a season with surface rust on the cases that got wiped-off and fired just fine.

Sorry for the bad experience had with the SKS. Might be a firing pin or hammer spring problem or something.

 

My black gun eats it just fine and my wallet says thanks.

 

If your "SHTF" gun can't fire steel case you need a new one.

 

I ran 2000 rds of it through my LMT M4 and have zero issues last weekend.

 

I have ran thousands through my "cheap" ar15 and never had a single issue, also 1500 through a 9mm xdm with no issues. Its your gun.

 

I agree if your weapon won't feed, cycle and fire anything you give it there is a problem with your weapon.

 

So out of 300, you had 22 that messed up? Doesn't sound bad to me considering you probably paid in the realm of $50 for all 300. It's Tulammo. Not something I'd carry for self defense but for cheap practice ammo, hey why not? $9 for 50 at my local walmart. Closest thing to it is Federal for $11. I usually buy that, but I bought some Tulammo the other day. Haven't had a chance to run it through the XD yet.

 

22 out of 300 sounds horrible to me...get that gun checked out.

 

Never had a problem out of an ak and black rifles, thousands of rounds total. From walmart too.

I dont shoot anything but brass from my handguns, its generally cheap enough to not have to go steel.
