I think that the article illustrates that the "layers of security" at the airports are ineffective.

Last flight I took was a medevac flight before 9-11 so I haven't had any experiences with TSA, but from what I've read they appear to be an incompetent group of jack booted thug wanna-bees.

As far as the Patriot act, I am not comfortable with many provisions in it and I think it needs to be stricken for now.

Hmm, the 9/11 flights were all domestic how odd. Now is a certain level of security a bad thing? I think not. Is it possible that our fears have perpetuated a need for more security? I think so. But allowing someone who was using an OLD boarding pass with the WRONG NAME to make it through security and onto a plain is a bad thing.

I'm no expert, but if he didn't have a boarding pass with his name on it then he didn't pay for his ticket. Was his intent just to fly for free? Anyway you look at it the security measures at the airport are not working.
