Staged? No. Video recorded? Yes.

'Staged' would imply that the driver had an idea in advance that she was going to act out a role in their presentation. She was unaware of what they were going to do in prior to them giving her the money.

You can either view the glass as half empty or half full. Personally, I prefer to look at it in the optimistic point of view. The people of the church wanted to do something immediately positive, uplifting and life-changing to help a hard-working person in need of financial and moral support.

I would be interested to find out if she used the money to pay off a student loan, fix up her car (delivering pizzas is hard on a car / tires / brakes, etc) or take care of her children's needs. We can try and second-guess that situation all day long, but dollars to donuts, I'd be willing to bet that the money was put to good use.

Certainly it's a better story to see and hear than the one from a year ago where the underage 14 year old punk kid tried to buy cigarettes and beer with his EBT card and the cashier at the convenience store refused to sell them to him because it was against the law, three times over (EBT's can't be used for alcohol, tobacco or ready made food items like pre-made sandwiches; the kid was underage for both tobacco and alcohol as well).

The cashier was fired by the manager for not apologizing to the aunt and the punk kid when the kid's aunt raised a huge stink about it later on. Need I say that the kid and his aunt were both black, and the cashier was white? A clear case of 'racism'...

Anyway, my point is, with all the negative garbage we see and hear in today's news, I simply wanted to post a positive, uplifting, feel-good message to counteract the crap and nonsense. Just once. Thanks for watching.

And now the missing pieces of the puzzle begin to trickle in...

Just a few minutes ago, on Fox News, they had the Pastor of that church in the video along with Natasha, the pizza delivery driver.

The pastor explained that they had been studying charity and giving with love in their recent series of sermons for several months, and wanted to end that on a high note.

They had called the Dominoes manager and asked him to send someone who was willing to come up on the altar to deliver the pizza. The guy originally assigned to do it didn't want to go up on the altar, so the manager sent Natasha instead.

Come to find out, Natasha is a single mom with an infant son. The child's father left them high and dry and doesn't help them financially at all. Natasha had no idea what was about to happen, other than she was supposed to deliver the pizza to the pastor directly up on the altar.

Was it God's will that Natasha was the one sent? Probably, because Natasha was about to be evicted from her home and literally had no where to go, and no idea what she would do once she would have been evicted.

The pastor further explained that the sole reason that they video recorded the event was that they had sincerely hoped this act of charity, love and giving would inspire others everywhere to do the same.

My only question now is....did it?

I ALWAYS try to give a good tip unless the service sucked. I'm not rich so that means $4-$5 on a $20 meal. Last Christmass we ate at Denny's for breakfast. Our waitress was a haggard old gal who was "on fire" with good service. All the other waitresses were young & hot so we knew our old gal was probably not having a very good Christmass. We tipped her $20 at the register & I thought she was gonna cry. It made me feel so good I wish I could have tipped her $100 but, I just ain't in that tax bracket. ;)
