There doesn't seem to be a section for discussing video games so I suppose this area is the most appropriate location.
I recently purchased "This War of Mine", a video game produced by the Polish studio 11 Bits. It's available on the Steam server for about $20. The premise of this game is that a small group of survivors are trapped inside a besieged Eastern European city and must scavenge, create, steal or barter for for basic food and supplies over a period lasting up to 1 1/2 months. The game can be played with different sets of survivors, each of whom brings different skills to the group.
This game IS NOT a prepping training guide. In fact, some of the game play, such as people starving to death after going five days without food propagates dangerous mis-information. The graphics, although beautifully drab to match the mood of the game, are old-fashioned 2D and may not be appreciated by all. Their appears to be a bit of socialist bias to the game as it's supposedly ok to steal from a rich person's house but not anyone else's.
Nevertheless, This War of Mine is a challenging game that prepper types will probably appreciate.
