Many of us are watching the geopolitical and economic train wreck unfold and we are doing all we can to safeguard whatever future we can for our families and loved ones.

We keep hoping that things will work out and that we can avoid catastrophe and go back to our normal lives. Most of us also know that it isn't likely to happen but ...what can we do? Not much.

Well, despite the calm and "business as usual" picture that the corporate media is trying to sell us, the fuse on this huge powder keg has been lit and believe it or not, it is about to blow sky high.

What am I saying ? I am saying that there is already and element in our society that has committed itself to...revolution.

So far that has meant a peaceful revolution but, I think that is about to change very, very soon. You can smell it in the air.

But don't take my word for it. Watch this video. When I watch it, what I see is a very large section of the American population that has just about reached their limit of tolerance and is about to declare war...real war, not the peaceful protest kind...on the government and on the elite.

At 3:12 in the second video, you can hear the declaration of war:

"If the police have aligned themselves with our oppressors, then they are the enemy!"

It is a powerful statement and a promise of things to come. By now, there is probably an underground revolutionary movement blossoming and growing with every new abuse of power.

Can you blame them?

We are on an irreversible path to meet our destiny, and I believe it will be very bloody one.

Old liberal chick on prozac and police are both on the same side. Rich white liberal "protesters" playing socialist game and police both playing a tired old liberal role that is no longer relevant. There is nothing imporatnt to protest here, no draft, no racial discrimination (in large part) and liberals don't bother protesting real villans like Al Quaida, so its all b.s. Silly old liberal chick playing the same game her rich white liberal parents played, except her parents risked real injury over real issues. Total nonsense. P.S. If you are pretneding to be a white revelutionary, don't cry when hit with tear gas.

We were NOT a bunch of white libs. We were a [primarily young] mix of all race, color and class attempting to make a message loud and clear:

The WTO was not welcome in our city.

I felt I had the right. I was pleased that others were compelled to exercise their right as well.

Some take these things too far, of course there's always the possibility someone will.
So do you propose citizens just shouldn't bother to speak up, or do you like the other apathetic "leave that to the protesting types" approach?

If you weren't proud of the citizens of Seattle for thier actions this day - may your gods help you.

There are indeed some "career protesters" who are destroying the credibility of real protesters and as you know, there are agents provocateurs whose job is to change the message of such events and to imprint them with the mark of hooliganism.

That these tactics are working is evident from the reaction of some of you, who are dismissing the building anger and fury of the American people as the work of Liberals and hooligans.

I guess the reality is that this is first and foremost a war of ideologies and so far the government has many convinced that 9/11 was the work of Al Queda, that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are necessary wars, that the two parties in the US represent different groups and different interests, that the only way to save you from poverty and economic melt down is for them to stick their hands in your pocket a little deeper and remove those pesky few last pennies that you've managed to hang on to and give them to the same people who have been robbing you with both hands...

The truth is that they are so well armed and equipped that it isn't even a competition.

The fight for your mind is very one sided and a half a century of brain washing has had its desired effect: people are confused and fed up but the only thing they know how to do anymore is to lock themselves in their houses and curl up in a fetal position.

The fighting spirit has been beaten out of most people and only those with the strongest of convictions remain to hold the line. But it will probably be enough to start the Second American Revolution.

And you think when(not if) Obama gets elected and the white conservatives take to the streets to protest that they will not use these weapons on you?

The fact is we already have "free speech zones" and FEMA concentration camps. You might not agree with the people in the videos, but you should at least agree that they have the right to be there.

The first amendment is just as important as the second that folks here hold in such high esteem. Maybe you have an administration in office right now that you agree with, but what is going to happen when you don't? You are going to be the one eating plastic bullets and pepper spray. If you want constitutional rights, you need to be prepared to defend them for EVERYONE, not just the people you agree with.

If a phenomenon or conditions are such that even the sheeple will act in defiance, things are going to transpire, obviously.

But it is entirely uncertain that the sheeple have been pushed to such a point and it would be pitifully easy for the government to quash a vocal minority.

There are too many unknowns.

shape up and don't be a hooligan if you don't want beat down. smart people wouldn't find themselves in this situation
Your comment is astounding.

So now if you have an issue with the government and you decide to exercise your God given rights your a hooligan???

So if your smart you'll do what the government says?

If your smart and don't like something you'll stay home and keep your mouth shut?

If your smart you won't protest the government?

It's your attitude that will lead to the downfall of this nation.

So what would you stand for?

What would you protest?

And what would you say to someone who tells you to shape up and stop being a hooligan for expressing your opinion in public?

Nothing important to protest? So America and its government is just splendid huh? How about:

Border security
Free speech zones
Restrictions on our 2nd
Quality of our food imports (not inspected at ports)
A war for oil
Patriot act
A B.S 9/11 story (I don't care if you don't believe the conspiracies but admitting the "official" story isn't completely true is enough)

Or how about the ever increasing amount of laws, taxes and regulations that redefine and erode our rights?

How about injustice? Protesting is the voice of the people when voting isn't an option or other means are being ignored. :headshake:

While I don't know enough about what they were protesting to decide if it is something that I would pretest or not, I don't believe that you can call them a hooligan just for protesting. I am afraid that if we use that type of logic and have to get permission from the government to protest then America as it was designed has failed. Using that logic if Obama wins and decides to start major gun control or other non-traditional American bans we would also not have the right to protest and would be deemed hooligans by public. If Americans had a tradition of shutting up and doing what they are told by the authorities we would still be a British colony.

Well, I might not agree with what they have to say. But, they have every right to protest. At least they are getting off their asses and trying to effect a political or social change rather than some that do nothing but talk about it.

We will never have a chance to take this country back if people are going to sit behind computer screens all the time and just use witty comebacks. Eventually you will have to get off you ass, on your feet and take to the street to really change something. Don't give the that **** about "I am going to work within the system" crap! You can vote all you want and it won't change a damn thing. It hasn't worked for damn near a hundred years. The politicians, bankers, and corporations have taken control of this government.

I would like to add censorship of the arts and the fact that you are not allowed to parent your children the way you see fit without society or child protective services being involved. When I decided to homeschool I had everyone at my door. They went through my cupboards to see if I had enough food, looked into the closets to see if they had enough clothes and basically violated me on every level. Because I wanted to homeschool it must mean I can't afford to send my kids to school or that I am some twisted weirdo. My response, "When you can actually g'tee me that my kids will be safe from pervert teachers, gun welding teens and prove to me that you can do a better job than I am doing...they will be on the next bus to the government brain washing center." Okay I was only thinking the last comment about the brain washing center lol
