I stopped where he starts being part of that “underlying interest” speaking of all about boomers self-interest.

 

I remember watching the news in the 1980s and some old hag born at the turn of century (aka, not a Boomer) was demanding every dime should could get from the government, “No cost of living increase was enough!! She wanted more, more, more!”.

I am sure Boomers watching that news story back then, were complaining about that old lady bankrupting the system and when it crashed, would be all her fault.

Meanwhile everyone ignores the elephant in the room…

It’s our selected leaders fault. And they are dividing us so we won’t tar and feather them.

 

The selective leaders tossed IOUs in the SS gains and spent it elsewhere.
The ones which were elected by the majority of the population.... which was not The Greatest Generation.
Convinced, connived, controlled, and/or conquered.
The Boomer generation saw the best of times and is running right off the cliff into the worst.
The saddest aspect of their generation and blossoming of middle class, they tossed the family out the window.
Or should I say into the TV, cable etc etc.
But again, the 4Cs above sincerely had a significant effect.
Most boomers say, "But I raised my kids the right way."
Maybe you did.
Millions of others did not whilst they chased the rabbit around the track.


Just like the blame of all today, upon which party or president is in the office and was technically not responsible.
If it had been stalled until Gen-X or Millennial, same s*** different generation.
Republican Party gave up campus combat in the '50s to Liberals.
Who was telling, and who was told, "This is the way".
I'd bet it was the .0000001% who have been eviscerating the Republic of States for 100s of years.
Such has accelerated if one can look back 40 years and remember Rights and anonymity, now a shadow.

Has anyone eligible for Social Security ever been denied because there is no more money available?

 

Some of these youngsters have no idea how tough it was to grease the skids for future generations.
When technology became more affordable/available you didn't have time to finally catch your breath as now you had to compete on a world stage.
It wasn't all peaches and cream here in the rust belt to survive or thrive.
Lots of standing on your head at times....looking back I wonder how I did it.
I'm probably in the top 10% here no help from anyone just nose to the wheel.

I instilled this work ethic in our Son which the owner of a 100 million in sales company has said recently he wants him to run the company at some point.
I worked there a bit before retirement and once had the owner come up to me and say your Son is supposed to be on vacation today but I see he's working on a project remotely logged in at at 6:00AM.
I said that sounds about right, he's probably been up by 5:00 , early bird gets the worm.
Get out there and distinguish yourself.
There's lots behind the scenes we have no control of so quit whining.

I see the video talks about inflation. Us boomers remember the Carter years . If you don't like inflation vote for the ones likely not to cause it.

 

I have listened to him a good bit in the past couple of months. I think the kid is well researched and truly views today, through the lens of history.

BUT... he's just another historian with an opinion. That makes him, only slightly more informed than you and I.

At the end of the day, this is his opinion.

He's also thinking Civil War in imminent. I disagree.

I could be wrong... he could be wrong... we both could be wrong.... we both could be right.

I'm really trying to get through this but he just makes so many claims without explaining them of backing them up. Correlation ≠ causation.

he lost me at college educated cities vs. Non college educated countryside being what's interests are actually represented by the left (educated cities) and the right (uneducated countryside).

Sorry I can't do it- the previous generations are guilty of things and the current generations are guilty of things and I'm interested in exploring those things but I just can't make it through an hour and of half of this guys voice and his need to endlessly pontificate.

 

It's Saturn's World until it's Jupiter's World. Every last penny has to be drained from Jupiter until He rises again. Extractionism without rebuilding/building Infrastructure = Collapse. The Wealthy people know this and only exist to try to rob every penny while JUST BARELY keeping this and other Countries afloat. The criticism by Marx and very many others about Capital being your mortal enemy is dead-on. We've got the Global Reserve Currency,can print Money and they REFUSE to rebuild a G**damn thing.

 

Smart lad, but like so many smart folks, they can't see the forest through the trees. He's constantly distracted by his own thoughts and goes down rabbit hole after rabbit hole.

The big picture is simple. There's a whole bunch of organized, well-funded forces in the world that are anti-western society (AKA Judeo-Christian culture). They are all currently working together to take down the only obstacle to their own success, western ideals. The west is currently losing this war but beginning to wake up. That's why the civil war/ revolution/ collapse is looming.

Something is hitting me very negatively before this guy even opens his mouth, he has the posture of a 80 year old woman. I know we should not judge by appearance but this guy immediately makes a negative impression . His lack if inflection and monotonous onslaught coming out of his mouth . I cannot focus at all on whatever is coming out of his mouth .
