It does have to do with survival, if you need them when SHTF and don't have them? also if they are missing now, who ever took them will be back for more. JT

water diviners? dowsers? not sure what to call them...when you wanted a well dug you called the guy up to come walk your property with a forked stick, at some point the stick would swing dramatically downward and the guy would say "dig here".
Yeah, I know...technology - but do some people still have the talent? that could come in handy after SHTF.

Add to that carbuerated V-8's, bias ply tires, tube fuses, drum brakes...

Wall phones
Baby aspirin
Wind up alarm clocks
Coffee percolators
Typewriters
Turn-tables
Cassette and eight track players
Carbon paper
Sit under hair dryers
home perms
jerry curl (LOL)
stand alone ash trays
plastic furniture covers
black and white TV's

My truck is out front with the livestock racks on right now...

My gunracks better still be in the back window....

The 454 in my truck is powered by a Holley 850 dual rail that I have had on 4 rigs now.

My wifes uncle Reverend Dana Remsburg still dowses for water all the time for family and friends. I haven't seen him miss yet.

As far as products that last I just buy old used stuff and fix it and then use it forever.

I also practice and teach my children, honor, loyalty, integrety, accountability, self respect, reliability, common sense.

These things will never be dead as long as at least some of us keep them alive....

I just bought baby aspirin
We now have...I think...3 windup alarm clocks
And I've found two ( so far) coffee percolators ( ones a pyrex all glass and the other is a heavy duty stainless)

I can do it but I use the old coat hanger wires.

Cars you could work on yourself without a computer and code scanner.

Flying as an enjoyable experience you actually looked forward to with a decent meal. Now you are lucky if you just get groped and not beat down!

Having a pocketknife as a student at school.

Spending all day outside playing and riding your bike with the neighborhood kids.

P.E., shop, and home economics classes.

An American economy that actually produced things instead of being a service economy.

The value of a having a college degree.

Actually letting kids experience failure instead of them being told you're all special.

Jobs.

The American dream of your kids being better off than you are.

Believing the government had your best interest at heart.

Being able to work for one company for 30 years, get the gold watch and retire happily and enjoy old age.

For that matter even retirement at all.

Hope for the future. :xeye:

WOW, now I'm actually sad thinking about all this country/we have lost!
