In certain parts of montana there is a strong viglante justice system....i expect it will get much stronger as things break down and there are fewer efforts to protect the average person.

Well I'm one of those who through lack of foresight and circumstance find myself aging in place, in a place I don't really want to be. But it's where I am. Besides Wyatt Earp lived about 60 miles south in his final years, so the company isn't so bad. Earp, CA - named the town after him. I doubt they'll do that for me.

If we have vehicles, relocating might be an option. "So we'll come to your house..."

In an EMP yeah, when the food runs out, we die. Just a fact. I had to finally accept that at nearly 70, I'm not hiking out of this valley with a full combat load and living off the land. And I'm reaching an age where it's OK if my world has gone to **** and I expire a few years ahead of time. If I was 40 it would be different.

I doubt in a TEOTWAWKI that the bad guys are going to increase, perhaps per capita, for awhile, but they can't grow corn any more than I can.

In the slow burn to misery that we appear to be in, yes, things / people are / will get worse. We see it with exploding homlessness, crime and very seriously dangerous people everywhere doing despicable things to others.

And currently if you try to stop it, YOU will be jailed and financially ruined because some ****bag picked you today. Pick any of thousands of tragic stories. The S already HTF for those victims.

Which brings us full circle. What works in Alaska is different than summer in the Mohave desert. So we all do what we can with the knowledge and skills, and environment we have.

Best prep - earn 40 million dollars and your options increase considerably. But it's still not enough for a Montana cattle ranch BOL and a New York penthouse these days.

Well, the map is based on FEMA data so you're probably right, totally inaccurate.

I am pretty sure fema got montana about right....I will let everyone know when the missles are launched here hopefully before the incoming.
Or it could be just russian dissinformation.
But then theres yellowstone just to the south of us.

Looks like Whitefish and Kalispell are safe though.

In the meantime I feel safer not living in whitefish or kalispell and my money goes a lot further.
