If never before cars were piling up like that? If never before the cardboard/paper demand fell off a cliff(overnight)? It's all grinding to a halt.

Japanese stock market is taking a huge dive right now:

DOW took a pretty good hit today. If tomorrow is more of the same(and Friday?).

I tell you; things are rapidly winding down.

Those 50,000 Citi employees, they have any bills to pay? How about that GM bailout?

Maybe someone could slide over there and snag us a couple!

That is a LOT of money on the hoof and not going anywhere soon.
Actually this is a good time to buy a vehicle, if your finances are in order.

Certain markets will be affected more than others. That is basically inevitable.

The Dow is finally starting to reach levels that are not inflated.

Familiar with "black Friday"? This one is looking to be really dismal. Much suspicion abounds about the Best Buy ad.

Is it fake? Did they float this ad out as a test? It's horrendous and no better then a typical Sunday ad. They are doomed if this is the real ad. All the other stores ads are not worth going to either. Those sales numbers will impact the market no?

This stuff should come as no surprise to anyone who's been paying attention. As far as TSHTF, lets wait for some actual social upheaval, which will happen IMO, to declare oscillator driven airborn fecal dispersal. Those with a real sense of whats going on will (if we're on our game) anticipate the arrival of that moment and BO or BI or do whatever they feel is right. We have a little ways to go though. Keep your eyes and ears open.

The Dow is sitting under 8,000 and the S&P is likely to fall below 800 tomorrow: http://www.bloomberg.com/markets/stocks/futures.html

Panic selling at some point(if not already).

My charts say the next level of support is between 7200 and 7400 on the DOW.

There is a lot of support at that level though. *IF* it should break through that level, then there is no bottom....

Does anyone have DOW charts that go back further then 1998? What was the low in the early 90's? If we go through 7200, that would be the next down side target.

Royal Dragon,

I'm curious to hear what you think will happen to the DOW?

I heard someone say a month ago the DOW would be at 7200 by years end and below 5000 by this time next year.

Yahoo Finance has customizable charts. The market has fallen through any real support. Now it is trading on its way down to the 2000-3000 level. The S has NOT hit the Fan YET. We are going to see a cascading economic collapse. As unemployment goes up, consumer spending is going to fall, as consumer spending falls, more people will be laid off, as more are laid off, spending will fall more, and so it goes.

The market will collapse as the economy collapses.

Market closed at 7553. I hope I am wrong on my previous post. There is another support at 7539 but it goes back over 10 years.

I was watching the news last night and they did a story on a dealership in Florida where they were having a buy 1 get 1 free deal on trucks. That can't be good :xeye:
