A few months ago in our local paper, we Idahoans were startled to learn that the state now requires people to have insurance on their vehicles whether they use them or not. So, if I don't use my pickup in the winter because my car does better in snow and I let it sit at home, I am required to license it. Another way for government to force citizens to buy insurance and thereby help insurance companies to bring in more capital.
Idaho is one of the states where medical marijuana and any CBD oil is illegal. Idaho is a very conservative Christian state. But, as I just read in my arthritis foundation magazine, osteoarthritis users find much relief with CBD (Basically medical marijuana). But they can't legally use it or have it in their possession. Some 60 million U.S. citizens have some form of arthritis but instead of using a natural substance for pain relief, Idahoans have to go to a doctor and get a prescription for an OPIOID. Seems like our state government wants to help Big Pharma as much as it can.
