It's a concept I've been doing for a little over a year now. It works. But don't just look at it as a one way triangle. This can flow clockwise or counter-clockwise...

is anyone else raising BSF larva
I hope too try these but it will probably be next year. I am concentrating on my redworms right now.

My first interest in BSF was for composting but we are building our chicken coop for about 20-30 chickens this fall. The idea of composting with BSF and using those to help feed the chickens is very attractive. We are planting a couple of acres of alfalfa and a few extra rows of corn in the garden for the same reason. I hope to freerange the chickens but it's going to take a shock collar and lots of effort to make the german shepherd realize they are not lunch!

BSF look like an excellent addition to the hobby farm!
