That Eskimo method seems a little dangerous to me. As you are pressing down with that holder in you mouth, if the spindle slips, it will go down your throat. I can envision someone bleeding out.

yea bud, the fact he's doing that inside means there's no missus LOL

I've wanted to practice primitive fire by cheating at first and using a power drill to get used to making a coal, tinder bundle and getting fire first, then doing the bow drill part once I know what to look for with the dust pile when there's an ember there. a variable speed drill wouldn't have to spin fast, just not kill me as I'm trying to learn it. This flywheel technique is cool, I may can find a small weight or something in place of the rock
