That is a massive if because the babyboomers paid NOTHING into social security, ever.

There has never been a trust fund, ever. The babyboomers SPENT every last penny that was taken from their checks, and they allowed this to happen by consistently putting Socialist-Republicans and Fascist-Democrats into office.

They spent all of their's and there is none left. Today, any money they are taking by force is not their's

Keep that in mind during this discussion.

Really?

The babyboomers didn't pay for their under-funded pensions, nor their Socialist Security, nor did they pay for their Medicare, nor did they pay for their Fascist prescription drug program... they never paid for building any infrastructure, nothing toward maintenance or nearly any other program in the last 40 years. Bonds are NOT payment; they are debt left to the following generations - with interest!

You are way off the mark by thinking they payed for jack****

They set the standard for the most self-serving, egotistical generation ever. Generation X and Y have their work cut out for them to even come close to being as much of a destructive force in our nation as the POS babyboomers.
Drugs are bad.

When you come down off the meth you might want to peruse this article. There are thousands more I could cite .........

Yeah, Let's try Ron Paul

Why Not? I mean what have we got to lose?
He can't be worse than a Womanizing Bill Clinton type or a Grinning Idiot George "W" Bush, or the current poor choice of a non-citizen for President.
Ol Ron might actually get something done. Those that don't agree with him can lay around and smoke the free and legal dope he is gonna pass out. Maybe Ross Perot could be Vice president...

When The Queen of England came to Williumsburg Virginia a few years ago, I was in the crowd and a guy behind me yelled over to her.

Then why don't they target Russia, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, and the rest of the generally whitish non-Muslims around the world? Generally, they target the US, GB and other NATO countries that are occupying their land. They didn't like the USSR when they were in Afghanistan, why didn't they continue to attack the infidel Russians? BECAUSE THE USSR LEFT THEIR LAND! Amazing!
it seems that Russia is having their own problems with muslims if you will remmeber the school children that were slaughted...on but wait that doesn't fit you preconcieved idea that if we play nice they will play nice. the Russians kill the fukkers. Oh and don't forget Spain they got them also.

Yeah, criminals are everywhere, haven't heard much in RECENT times. If there was a pattern, I might be able to agree with you. I guess we just need to continue to kill as many brown people as we can before they get us. Calling all Christians to join the new crusade to kill off the brown people who believe in a false god

More important than liberal vs. conservative is statesman vs. mafia when you're talking about that era.

Anyway, we've also learned not to trust the Corporation either. It'll simply declare bankruptcy and POOF! No more pension obligations.
No one should ever trust the government or a corporation for their retirement. Private accounts are the only assets people should trust despite some of them being stolen(MF Global).

IMO, paper assets and future promises are all unsafe investments. People should be prepared to not have any of them. When the wheels stop turning, they are all worthless.

This old baby boomer is voting for Ron Paul and will be writing him in because he is the only one that makes any sense. Newt is crying about the evils of making big bucks and Mitt's RomneyCare and views on guns gag me. Ron Paul said it the other day when he said he didn't really care about some of the stuff they were whining about.

As a employer I paid double into SS and really had no intention of needing or collecting it. After all the crying over the evil baby boomers I see here I think I'll just draw my SS check in a few months and buy silver with it. Maybe I'll collect a few checks before the govt changes the rules because I was smart enough to provide myself a great retirement fund.

I chose to have no kids,no ex's,no cell phones,no toys and live far below my means. For those that wanted those things you made your choices I made mine. No sympathy from this old baby boomer.

I too could do fine without my SS check but will take that money for further investment when the time comes that I can collect. Being prudent through the years even with a family and some of the amenities offered by technology we have been prudent and saved for our retirement. It ma not be plush but will be comfortable enough to enjoy.

This last summer I kind of took off from the construction work I usually do, so I could reduce my tax rates because I am tired of supporting illegals, generational welfare collectors and many of the failed programs sponsored by the government with our tax dollars.

Fraud, corruption and graft are rampart and I no longer wish to support this turmoil with my hard earned dollars. In the near future I will be doing whatever I can to reduce the $s paid into the taxes that are spent so frivolously.

If for some reason TPTB turned things around and spending became responsible again I would probably change my views but I feel there is little chance of that happening.

I relate to some of what Red and Sierra are saying. I thought about opting out of S.S. for a minute. If it were possible. But, I've decided I may as well be the life sucking A-hole all the boomer hater's on here talk about.

I think I'll take it and buy another Rolex. I've earned it.

This one's only $65,000.00. I just had lunch with a couple today at Chisholm's in Lockhart. The wife was wearing one. Beautiful. I want one.

I concur completely. Kids are a black hole and as I've noticed over the years watching my friends and coworkers one is NEVER rid of them.

Even if the do manage to move out the next thing you know they marry and have their OWN kids and somehow those kids end up at the grandparent's house half the time.

What a nightmare.

Mitt has a group of super pac that has spent over 10 million dollars in Florida alone to get him elected. The major news media have worked non-stop trying to convince us that Mitt is the man. He is buying the office of the president and the sheeple are backing that effort. What a stupid bunch of sheeple! If I were wealthy and I donated millions of dollars to see Peter Pan elected you can bet your axx that I expect some return on my investment. If I did not then I would be too stupid to have been wealthy to begin with! Just something for the sheep to think about!:)

Without social programs America would require a police state to control the chaos of the urban environment and the outlaw mentality of the poor in the country. Social security is important because without it many senior citizens will suffer. Without unemployment benefits people who fall into desperation will resort to unlawful means of survival. Government programs are not the problem. Baby Boomer ignorance is the problem.

Baby boomers have been the worst generation in American history. Baby boomers as a generation think their **** don't stink. All baby boomers have done too much drugs at one point in their life. They were raised to be scared suburban bunnies. They allowed JFK's killers to get away. They were warned to beware the military industrial complex and they did not take heed. They allowed Richard Nixon to pull the United States off the gold standard and create a floating exchange rate system. This has wrecked our future. They refuse to see reality. All they look for is pleasure, but reality is too painful to acknowledge. America will be poorer due to their short-sighted economics. They have allowed the nations infrastructure to deteriorate while they create massive amounts of debt to go to war. They are creating more enemies.and driving us to war once again. The baby Boomer is not a human being. The Baby Boomer is spiritually an infant. They can not see that their lifestyle of excess can not be sustained and their children will have to pay the bill, literally. Just like an infant t who doesn't know the value of money, so does the baby Boomer swipe his credit card and put his faith in a treasonous monetary system. The Baby Boomer is incapable of solving the problem because the baby Boomer is the problem. The Baby Boomer will never admit this, so the young people will have to start moving them aside while the future takes over. Go Ron Paul!

This is a typical baby Boomer-influenced point of view. A baby Boomer plays the game even at the cost of their values. Without values who are you? A baby Boomer just goes along to get along. They believe in the power of corruption over a fight for principle. That's why Mitt Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich suck. But Santorum is the worst. Go Ron Paul!
