I picked up an 1963 Army fly proof kitchen tent a month or so back. The poles I got with it were for a camo. net. Does any one know where i can get a set of them at a low price or any ideas on making them? I'm willing to try to make them if that's the cheaper way.

If my memory serves me correctly, the tent poles were made of very strong wood, usually two piece. One piece fitted into a metal sleeve fastened to the other piece usually in the middle. The top of the pole was usually wood turned or carved to the size of the canvass eyelet. Have seen them from time to time in junk shops, occasionally in military disposal store or at military clearance auctions. You may not be able to get a full set. If you decide to make them, canvass becomes very heavy when wet so factor that in to whatever material you use for the poles.
