No you cant use Beretta Mags unless you cut out another releif in the magazine to catch and hold it in place. The cut outs on the two different mags are in different locations.
I have the PT-99 which is the adjustible sight version and like it a hell of a lot more than the Beretta 92 8 days a week! Its been a pretty solid gun in my experience. Mine has proven to be pretty accurate and very reliable digesting a wide variety of loads.
It would have been a better gun if the slide was steel instead of aluminum. They do make a stainless steel one though unfortunately I couldnt find a used one untill I had my blue steel one already.
I bought one in stainless when they upgraded with a built-in gadget rail, I love the frame mounted safety. alot of aftermarket mags seam to go both ways but there's always the "dremel w/caution" option.:thumb:
