Hi all,

Thoughts on shooting a Stoeger Coach Gun without the chokes installed? Will it damage the weapon?

It shouldn't, as long as you don't use steel shot. But the gun will pattern better with the chokes. Iv'e seen some pretty erratic patterning without chokes installed. I think the exposed threads tear up some of the pellets, leading to lots of flyers. Anyway, I was looking at one of those Stoeger Coach guns at Gander Mtn. yesterday.........awesome. I love them, and probably should buy one soon.

Last Coach Gun I had was a fixed Modified/Improved choke rig. When did they start having interchangeable chokes?
