I stopped using midway last week. Been buying from them for many years. About 2 weeks ago tried to log on and could not. Contacted them and found out they had combined my account with someone, else's. I'll never trust them again with my info. Sent a nasty gram to the CEO who never bothered,to respond.

Dear Gary,
In On January 14, 2013, the NY Safe Act was signed into law. A portion of this new law restricts the sale of ammunition into the state of New York after January 14, 2014 by requiring all retail ammunition sales to occur face to face.

In order to ensure all ammunition is delivered prior to the active date of the law, as of today, we unfortunately will no longer be able to ship ammunition to New York State.

This law also affects current ammunition backorders with MidwayUSA. If we are currently holding backordered ammunition that is in stock, waiting on other products to ship, we are sending the ammunition out today to ensure full compliance with the law. If your backordered ammunition is not in stock, we unfortunately have to cancel it.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The window said -- "Only pickup - in person"

Then I tried to order a Lee Reloading Stand --

Yep -- it would go through :thumb:

I requested a notification for some ammo :thumb:

The e-mail said -- NY captives can't have ammo sent ------

I gotta get out of here !

Any other inmates here get this ?
That does suck. I feel the same way about North West Louisiana, socially, so I understand how it is to hate where you live. Moving this year. Get up and get out!

What's going on in NW Louisiana? I live in New Orleans & while there's a lot I CAN complain about, gun rights isn't one of them.
This is 'Merica! You ALWAYS complain about gun rights!

I'm kidding. Halfway. Maybe.

On topic: I knew ammo and/or firearms wouldn't be shipped to New York long before yesterday, and I'm not even in New York!

You need to perform a tactical retreat to one of the gun friendly swing states, my friend. That way you can get yourself some normal capacity magazines, some ammo, maybe a rifle with those dreaded pistol grips, maybe a *gasp* adjustable stock, one of those super deadly flash hiders, and help us drive the progressives out!

online ammo purcheases have never been my style.
between online security breaches and financial info, credit & debit card tracking, it just doesnt set well with me.
I instead, keep a bit of cash in my pocket. Im one that cant pass a gun shop without stopping to window shop. Even Walmart is a place ill drop in on to look. I know my gun dealers by name, and always have the request in for any "good deals" on ammo that fits my guns. Cash in pocket, cash in hand, and there is no record of what I am buying, either in financial amounts or quanity.
Go to your web site dealer, pull up your account, click " history/ past purchases". Scarey huh? if you can see that, who else can?

I got the same kind of letter last summer before the new ammo purchase laws took effect here in CT. If I fax a copy of my CCW over to them they will send ammo again. I'd just rather purchase it locally at this point.

What really ticks me off is that they are not shipping any mags. Even completely legal 10 round mags. Last year I bought close to a dozen different hi caps from them and now I can't even get them to send me a 10 round. I emailed them asking why and have received no response.

Well, New Orleans is full of wonderful and polite intelligent people, based on my visit there. Do you understand why I don't like where I live, now?

As far as gun-rights, just try getting a CLEO sign-off in NO. Good luck. Also, we can't hunt with SBR's or suppressors, except hogs. No deer. All of our neighbors can. Also, the roads---similar here to how they are in NO. They SUCK! Except you have a bit more upheaval due to the soil.

In a world where the NSA can take photos with your own iPhone, I promise that you are not fooling anybody. Also, I highly doubt you are the first individual they will burn manpower on. I just save money and buy online. I just bought 1600 rounds of quality brass-cased M193 5.56 for $650 shipped. What would that run you cash-in-hand today do you think?

Um, Northern Virginia might as well be New England... And due to the fact that NoVa has a high percentage of liberals, I wouldn't doubt to see Virginia start to put the clamp down on guns. Especially since our new governor is a democrap (thanks to NoVa voters)...

NOVA is still part of Virginia, and thus subject to their lax gun laws. So, hardly New England. I can walk around with a gun on my hip same here as in Richmond and nobody even bats an eye.

I always get a kick out of people who think our democrat governor can get away with any anti-gun legislation. He can't serve two consecutive terms. Our gun legislation is pretty iron-clad. We have low gun related crime. And most of our liberals are pro-gun because they're in the military.

No, I'm not worried about any anti-gun legislation coming out of the governor's office. Even with NOVA voters, he only beat the other guy by somewhere around 2%. Way more than 2% of those that voted for him are very pro-gun. It would never fly.

I certainly hope you're right! I cringe at the thought of living in a state like Maryland. We're pretty conservative down here in Va Beach, but every time I go to see family in NoVa, it's like a whole other country...
