I have always wated to cook with a solar oven. Thanks for the tips. Where I like to camp has a nice south facing sand beach that gets hotter than heck by itself. I think a solar oven would do well.

My solar oven works where here in Florida this time of year but only between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. That is long enough to cook a chicken and get up to 285F or so in cool weather (50'sF)

Wonderful video. Thanks for posting.

There are many of these used in the upper midwest but then they were invented in Wisconsin. I cook with mine in the summer for long term roasts or good barbeque ribs. Another great item for cooking is a linear fresnel lens cooker.
