My radio did seem to be on the fritz, lots of interference during the last one yesterday. But that seems to be all just some intereference. Nothing major. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I've had some minor intereference today. Nothing to talk about, but makes ya wonder.

The latest blast at 0357 UT on August 4th registered M9.3 on the Richter Scale of Flares, almost crossing the threshold into X-territory (X-flares are the most powerful kind).

Cripes, between the stock market and now these solar flares, I'm thinking of taking off work tomorrow! I don't want to be 50 miles from home and the grid goes offline. People will be freaking out.

That would make for a great 2-3 day hike with plundering and pillaging on the way home....pack heat....lots of it. Alot can happen in 50 miles.

I drive a company car...absolutely no weapons allowed. Though we can drive our own vehicle....hmmmm...but no weapons allowed in parking lot either, and there is no place else to park.

Another thought...what if TPTB knew of these flares, and that's why the market tanked. I wish someone on here lived near one of these bunker places, and could report any increased activity.

I would hardly consider NASA even slightly more reliable given that they've been taken out of the manned space business to be devoted to the business of producing phony science to "prove" that Americans having freedom to be Americans are the cause "climate change", and muslim self-esteem outreach...

I have heard different things on how solar flares could impact vehicles. It sounds like maybe some people here have researched this. Our BOL is several hours away so this is a major concern. I would really like to hear what you know. Thanks

I wonder if this explains why the past couple of days we had the power flicker off and then come back on in about 2-5 seconds? No storms, the sky was crystle clear.
