silver colloidal is right up there with the "contrail dissipators" with BS products. Iodine a filter or bleach are the way to go for safe water purification.

Yes a little silver if healthy fo the body, but sick with a proper made vitamin or eat with silver cutlery.
yea i ahve read some of that info to..that is why i posted it here to see if any one had more info on it....I am looking for something good to add to the water for long term water storage ..o far the best i cam up with is add some bleach to the water & switch it out every 6 months,,
I've used colloidal silver for years on cut/scrapes, both major and minor with as good or better results then the OTC ointments.

I also put some in my stored water..no bad water to date, but I rotate the larger containers each year and the smaller ones sooner.

There may be a reason the filter elements of my big Berkey have silver in them.

That said, there are many vendors and you need to be sure of the quality/strength.

I use a product called Mild Silver Protein now.
I do make CS, easy to do yourself, but do it properly. No need to store it because in about 5 minutes you can make it. For water, bleech I guess if your storing water. I filter my CS through a paper towel and until breathing it, make it a little less strength. Watch the silver you use.

Good advice about the silver source...Do Not use silver coins..Contain copper usually...Only pure silver wire, etc..
