The federal reserve has been catching a lot of flack for wanting to dump more money.

The price of everything is going up, I think its due to inflation - and the fed wants to print more useless dollars that are not backed by anything?

disclaimer : I am as anti-Bobama as they come.

so not to confuse my next statement - I'm not entirely opposed to our president announcing to the world that the U.S. is diminishing financially.

#1) I think it's obvious and all those blood suckers who have built their wealth off of our outsourcing etc know full well that we are weakening.

#2) it can be a healthy thing for us to be expected to carry all the load.

Here's my analogy - I'm now 53...and having raised 4 kids...none of whome became doctors or movie stars... I have found that long after they graduated and moved out...that I was still paying out the cash in many ways to help them...that's fine...happy to be able to help...but then last year I lost my job and the kids all knew that we were just hanging on ...they stopped asking Pop for the extra help and made their own way just fine...also..with my age has come failing health compared to 10 yrs ago.. my side business requires a lot of physical strain...and the boys recognize that I can't go as far as I used to...injuries aren't healing..etc..so they are stepping up now and doing more of the work...

I'm saying...it's time that India and other countries recognize that we can't just keep dumping fistfulls of money into their economy...and the socially needy here stateside might actually have to go out and look for a friggin job instead of sitting on the porch waiting for the monthly guberment check to arrive....yeah..there'll be plenty of teeth nashing...but when a guy like me makes less last year than I paid in income taxes the year before ...well...the welfare babies are gonna soon find that there simply isn't a sugar daddy here any more.

so yeah..if our nation is faltering....might be ok...pull back on all the social programs..all the global policing, all the subsidizing...and focus on the basics that make a country run and ultimately prosper.

I'm not just picking on the stereo type porch sitters..cause there are plenty of politicians right here in town who constantly have looked for a light rail addition or some pet project to steal more tax dollars so that some friend or lobby group could get favors..and of course those favors translate into favors to the political powers...I've always been amazed when I see a politicians home or business or other wealth aspects and I know darn well they haven't made that money in their paystub...they've done some favors and it's greased their palm in some way...if the funds aren't there...then maybe those less honest politicals will go find other ways to make themselves rich and leave governing to more honest men.

The nonstop printing of money makes a lot of sense from the fed's side. They want more money from us, yet they really can't tax us much more. They can't just take half our bank accounts or there would be civil war overnight.

But if you print twice as much money, each dollar is only worth half as much. Our bank accounts contain the same number of dollars, but it's only worth half as much.

Guess who now has the other half? Without "taking" anything from us. Pretty sneaky of them.
