While I agree on a different gun for EDC than the 638, consider getting some Bianchi speed strips instead of bulky speed loaders. Amazon carries them. More expensive now but still worth it. Load two shells at a time. Check it out.

Had an LC9. Sold it.
+1 on the speed strips, I have used them for years. With practice you can load two rounds at a time. (I still have speed loaders as well.) In the good old days I learned how to pull and load two at a time from the loops. I still practice that sometimes. :)

Well everyone ... thanks for all of your input. I just purchased this:

Trigger Air gun Gun barrel Gun accessory Recreation

$601.08 after tax and shipping. Purchased through Palmetto State Armory. I opted for the Desert Tan. All of my other pistols are black so I thought I'd spice things up.

I found the Hellcat to have great sights but was horribly inaccurate. Thanks in large part to its awful trigger and weird grip shape. Make sure you hold and shoot one before you buy if at all possible.
I watched Hickock45 do a side by side yesterday and he hit everything he aimed at with both guns (Hellcat vs. P365).

What’s your opinion on the comparing the triggers of the 365 and the shield plus?
The Shield Plus has an excellent trigger, as good as the Sig, though different. I prefer NOT bladed triggers, but it was one of the best of the type that I've used, with the META trigger by Springfield at #1.

If it had pointed better, I would have bought it. But the Sig worked better for me, and has an even better trigger for my use.

I tried 4 different Hellcats, and every one had a crappy trigger. It makes no sense to me, seeing as how Springfield CAN make a good trigger. Maybe newer models have improved?

I love Ruger and Sig products and was almost set on the Sig but grip size matters (that's what she said).
The Sig is #1 for me. I had a friend who tried the Hellcat first and dumped it to go to the Sig after he tried mine. You do know that the Sig is modular? You can buy a P365, P365X or P365XL......or just get a regular P365 and replace the grip module. Wilson makes a good one and there are a couple other options as well. Yes, the trigger is great and the accuracy very good once you get used to the 'snappiness'. There are videos of guys hitting steel at 50 yds.

You should go rent and shoot both...but there is a reason that the 365 is the best selling pistol.....just my .02.

I like the sig p365x, but I also really like the IWI Masada slim. The latter is hard to find holsters for . If you can wait HK has a micro compact coming soon
HK is a great company. I wanted the Wilson Combat but it costs nearly $3000.00 which is insane. Maybe if I get rich some day. I ended up buying the Hellcat for three reasons:

1) Larger grip.
2) Higher capacity.
3) A little less expensive than the Sig.

I do love the Sig Sauer name and quality and had a service sized, .40 cal ripped off. I was so devastated by that loss because I really loved that gun.

What does the X model offer over the standard 365 ?
The X is cut for a red dot, and has the XL grip frame, but keeps the shorter barrel and slide of the original.

For $50, you can make the P365 into an X sized gun, but then you'd still have to get the slide cut.

I liked the gun so much, I just bought a complete X slide from Sig. I have an XL grip as well....so with a FCU, barrel and spring, I'd have another complete gun. 🤣

Sig can be found for $500 Bro. Get them both. I've become fond of these mouse guns as the old timers refer to them.
Well, I think that term, possibly first coined by Jeff Cooper, was usually applied to tiny small caliber guns. Ones that some would say were only good for shooting mice. While I didn't agree with that term, I don't think anyone's claiming that about the new crop of tiny 9mm's. Well, other than those who still cling to their 80's gun magazine "education"....
