Besides shooting a 1911, the Sig 365X, for me, has the BEST trigger on the market. It is very accurate. LC9, low quality.
Just decide what model you want. I carry the X, with the Zero on top, and Trl6 light. It really is a phenomenal gun. My wife also likes it a lot. I will buy her the standard though. She currently carries a Kimber micro 9.
I do pocket carry, in cargo pocket, along with kydex trigger guard, the S&W bodyguard. But, the trigger is horrendous, and I only carry because of concealment concern in a location it is frowned upon to carry.

I was just reviewing the Springfield Hellcat. It's 11+1 (and a 13+1 mag is available) which I really like. Good company. Good quality. Good price. I may have just talked myself into a third option.
That's a really nice gun and very similar. Only reason i ended up with the SIG is because i got a really good discount on it otherwise the Hellcat is a very close comparision. Im more familiar with SIG is really the main reason for my choice.

My buddy has had an lc9s for a year. It is serviceable, reasonably accurate, but you can tell a bunch of corners were cut to meet a price point. Having handled a p365, that is likely my next purchase.

So, as others have mentioned, the original LC9 has a terrible trigger. The LC9s and the EC9s have a much better trigger. Both have safeties if that bothers you. (The LC9s Pro does not have a safety or a magazine disconnect and the improved trigger.) I have owned and shot the Sig and it is the first SIG I have actually enjoyed shooting. It is accurate and has manageable recoil.

Having said all that, I carry both the Glock 43x and the LC9s. I have done my yearly LEOSA qualification with both of them without a problem. I carry the 7 round +1 mag in the LC9s (with extended mag in my pocket) and the 15+1 mag in the Glock. The 15 round magazine is from Shield Arms. It has worked great for me by YMMV.

With all three, the Sig, Ruger and Glock I recommend the Hogue grip sleeve. (Handall)

I have both. Well the LC9 is the LC9s.
If you are talking about the regular LC9, definitely take the Sig. The trigger on the old LC9 is terrible. If they both feel equally good to you I would still say take the Sig. More capacity in a very similar size and shape. Trigger on the LC9s is much better than the original LC9. Sig trigger is nice and doesnt have the safety blade thing. The flat trigger is even better (to me). For me the Sig felt a little too small so I bought an X frame and 12 and 15 round mags and it's a great ccw option now.
Lc9 not quite as nice as the lc9s. The 9s has a much nicer trigger than the lc but as someone posted above, it's accuracy is eh . I like Rugers revolvers a lot, not so much the semi autos.

The LC9, LC9S, and EC9S are all older designs being replaced in the Ruger line up by the Max-9. I have an LC9S and it's okay for a low budget gun. But it's nowhere close to the quality and shootability of my Sig P365, 365XL, or 365 Macro. I also prefer my Shield Plus(es) over the Ruger, and most days I prefer it over the Sigs. It is a little bigger but much easier to shoot well as it has less felt recoil and muzzle flip. I have been putting my .30SC Shield Plus through it's paces for a number of months now and it's becoming my preferred carry gun. 16+1 rounds of ammo with basically 9mm performance in a easy to carry package.

Just for information's sake:

I just tried to buy the Springfield Hellcat from Bud's Gun Shop and got a message that they would only sell to "professional users." So I went to some other sites like Sportsman's Warehouse and Cabela's (better price) and both will sell to all Americans. Sad to see Bud's restrict sales, since I've purchased two other guns and lots of ammo through them.

What’s your opinion on the comparing the triggers of the 365 and the shield plus?

Wow can't believe Buds went that route. i haven't bought anything from them in a few years. They had a great layaway program about 5 years ago that was hard to beat. Go to ammoseek and search for the firearms you're looking for and it will list prices from lowest to highest. Cabelas I find to be 10-20% higher on average than most other vendors.

I found the Hellcat to have great sights but was horribly inaccurate. Thanks in large part to its awful trigger and weird grip shape. Make sure you hold and shoot one before you buy if at all possible.

I have the LC9s Pro and the P365XL. The LC9s Pro is good for those that need “deep concealment” with more rounds than a 5 shot revolver. The trigger is scary good, recoil is stout but manageable, but if you have average or larger than average hands it may not be great.

The Sig P365xl is what I have Ccw’d for the past 2+ years since getting it. More rounds (I carry the 12 rounders loaded with Magguts +2 and a 15 rd reload), flat trigger, larger grip, lower recoil and ability to use a red dot if desired.

Looking back, the P365 or X is probably a better concealment option than the XL.

I tried the HeckKitty and the trigger and grip sucked and the mag release was not as convenient for me as the Sig.

I spoke with a rep, she said only some models are restricted. You might wish to call them directly if you still wanted to order from them. Usually, these restrictions are from the mfg.
