I have several AR-15s and a mini-14
I also have some scrap copper that I was going to keep to hedge a falling dollar.
I have gold and silver. I have a cousin who bought this AR a few months ago and now needs to sell it unfired to me for $700.

That is about $200. less than he paid for it.
I called my scrap yard and steel is trending down.... while copper is trending higher. That divergence will not continue for long. As the economy slips the demand for scrap does also.... but as the dollar falls hard goods like copper can rise in price.
As for the AR if Romney wins (almost unthinkable a week ago) the demand for AR's falls and some Obamy-ban ARs come to market dropping the price.
If Obamy wins the AR climbs in value at least for a while. What happens to copper?
Bottom line': sell the copper and buy the AR, or keep the copper ???
There are 1500 rounds of 5.56 that will also be for sale to me for $300. but only if I buy the AR first.
