Hey yall. I've owned a short Kabar for about 7-8 months now, and finally got it out and used it last night around the fire, splitting small pieces of wood and stuff. Although I cut myself doing some light chopping, I was extremely please with the way I was able to break up small pieces of wood for the fire. And it is still razor sharp. Although this is not a thorough examination of the knife, I do think it is worth getting. I've got the black one w/Kraton handle and I also have one with plain stacked leather on the way. I've never had much use for a knife as big as the short Kabar, as I've always found a 3.5-4" pocket knife suitable for most of my needs. I may get a full-size Kabar later, but it has to be huge compared to the short Kabar. But instead of a full-size I believe I'll go ahead and get something like a Cutlass....cause I still need a good machete. Anyways, I'll get some pics up later, yall take care.
