Good Morning World,

Just woke up in the great USA to find that our elected :xeye: officials debated in the night again and gave the first 60/40 vote to pass healthcare, two more scheduled for Tuesday and on to Pres to sign before Christmas.

After a thread I read yesterday this is going to really tic some good folks off. If you have to hide and do this in the middle of the night, you are not representing anything but your own interest. But I hope to direct anger to a direction that will be helpful.

I fully believe that the first to suffer badly and quickly will be our elderly, disabled and anyone with needs that require medicine to survive. IF and WHEN Medicare Part D goes away the elderly will not get their medication nor the disabled. Finding medication is going to be difficult, costly and for some impossible.

Please direct your attention to this arena for your family. If in your preps you do not have a years supply of meds while this mess settles down begin working on getting this and please include over the counter supplies. Also check at local feed stores, it is amazing how many items are the same as the human RX but can be gotten cheaper and without RX. Do the math, get the dose right. :thumb: Check those expiration dates and find out how much each med decreases in power after this date. Many may still be used, but require an increased dose. Talk to your Dr. about getting a larger quantity now! Many DR's put their oath first along with their patients.

Please do not waste time on anger, use your time for being prepared and pray.

Thank you for the correction, they did not state this on the news, it was made to sound as a done deal short of a couple ok's on Tuesday and Presidential signing. At any rate, it seems like they will pass this if they all must become nocturnal. I still firmly believe that we need medication for those that require it on hand whether it be because of government action or natural cause. How about all the folks in the snow storm. They better have medication to wait that out along with many other problems. God Bless and please help me with contacting the news and asking that they report correctly.

They voted to end debate, the final vote is on the 24th. Nice try.

What's going to change on the 24th? The vote they had today not only ended debate but polled the senate as to how they will vote on the 24th.

Barring 2 acts of God the bill will pass the Senate. Of course there will be another vote (after the one on the 24th) once the House and the Senate Bill comes out of Committee. There is another opportunity for a miracle there too.

Of Course even if it passes it will not be effective until after the 2012 election (so there are some chances to overturn it before it is too late.

Regardless of future opportunities the vote in the wee hours this morning is dismal news.

Just proves that those SOB's aren't listening to the people. They are going to do whatever they damn well please regardless of what the taxpayer wants. Twenty of those ba$tards hanging from flag poles in DC would be a good start!

The longer it can be delayed the closer the 2010 elections become. the only Miracle that can be expected at this point is that the House Democrats (hopefully Blue Dogs who stand a BIG chance of losing) keep the bill that comes out of committee from passing. (the same can happen in the senate too bit less likely).

As long as the Republicans are unified in opposition they stand to win BIG in 2010 and 2012 and hopefully overturn whatever is passed before it takes effect.

I also anticipate a Constitutional fight over provisions in the bill that REQUIRE people to have health insurance. Barring a car accident I don't see the Supreme court upholding that provision in this bill.

60 votes are for cloture, after another to end debate
already assured by those they have
all that is needed for passage and the vote on reconciliation when blended w house bill is 50 for passage.
(reconciliation bills cannot be filibustered)
as Biden will be vote 51.

Yes but the inside word is you will be taxed starting when His Highness signs the bill into law, years before it takes effect. This is so they can get you used to payng even more taxes, they will not be happy till they control EVERY Aspect of our lives.

There is that too however it is not irreversable even if it passes. (that is the point I was trying to make)

We did not get to this point in a year it has taken over 80 years to get here and it will take a long time to fix it too (hopefully not 80 years). This nation has been going downhill since the Wilson Administration.

Sent to my two (anti-constitution) Senators

Just for fun I sent this to both of my senators from Virginia. I know it won't make a bit of difference and I doubt they will even be honest enough to reply but what the hey. Both are full on Socialist and support everything the big O-Socialist wants. Would never call them traitors but just can't seem to come up with the right word.

Senator Warner,

During the Health Care debates a number of concessions have been made in order to obtain agreement on the bill. One agreement is with Senator Nelson from Nebraska. Under this concession, the federal government will fully fund his state's expanded Medicaid population. I understand that all states get full federal assistance for the first three years of the bill. However Nebraska will be the only state to receive full assistance after those three years. In fact, Nebraska will never need to fund this portion of Medicaid. What this means is that we in Virginia will be funding Medicaid not only for Virginia, but for Nebraska also.
This is absolutely unfair to the citizens of Virginia. My question is why have you not followed suit and insisted on the same favorable treatment for the Commonwealth? If this type of concession is good for Nebraska is surely should be good for Virginia.
Please respond with your plans to obtain equal concessions for the citizens of Virginia.

Thank you

Actually next is Cap & Trade. It didn't die, they just put the bill in their back pocket to be voted on after the health "care" bill.

Senator McCain actually showed a little life last night in his speech. Maybe Mr. "I can work with both sides of the isle" has finally realized the other side doesn't want to work with anyone with a different opinion or view and they certainly don't want to work within the constitution. The time to lock and load is upon us.
