Hey there, I'm a new prepper and in trying to jump start my supplies, I'm looking to purchase a couple Saratoga Farms Value Buckets from the ready store of things such as beans, oatmeal, powdered milk, etc.

I realize this is probably not the best bargain for the items, but I am just looking to get some basics stored up while I learn how to do things more on my own like canning, growing, etc.

Does anyone have any warnings against these products? They say shelf life is 20-30 years if you keep them at room temp. I figure I buy a couple and its a good sense of security that I can just stash away.

Thanks!

Check beprepared.com and look at their superpails for a price comparison. Its a good resource.

I also like harmonyhousefoods.com for a quick stash of dehydrated vegetables and fruits.
