dose any one know how to salt cure meat , i herd that you can put a heavy amount of salt in a bucket of water so it will float a egg in the shell ,then put your meat in it and it wont have to be refegerated ???? i guess the bacteria cant live in a highi salt envirment . any thoughts , thanks yote killa :):):):)

i dont know about that but i have packed meat in salt top and bottom in cool weather. thats part of making country hams

I've also thought about this, I plan on searching Youtube; i'm sure there are a few examples there. I did buy a small smoker at Academy sports, it was about 39 bucks, its a really nice little thing and I might even buy another one.

Anyhow, I bought about 30 pounds of salt just to have on hand, and I'll probably double that here in the next few weeks.

If I find anything on Youtube I'll post it here for you.
