Russian break up

The west is trying to poke the bear.

By brazenly stating that the intent when Ukraine wins, is to break the Russian federation up along the 200-300 diverse ethnic lines, they have stated that Russia is finished, grossly underestimating Putin's nationalistic fervour.

Read Hal turners piece above. If Putin thinks Russia is going to be broken up, and not exist as such any more, he would have no hesitation in pressing the big red button. Of course, he knows by doing that he had sealed his countries death warrant, but he will show he had the balls the west doesn't, and will potentially be able to destroy quite a few enemies before the obvious demise of the whole of eastern Europe, and quite a large chunk of the USA as well, in a radioactive cloud. Russia as it is now, is going to cease to exist anyway, so why not take out a few of these d..k heads as well ?

I think its interesting that the controllers of the Doomsday Clock haven't moved the hands any closer than 90 seconds to midnight. I think we are more like 20 seconds from WW3.

Then there is the Middle east, ready to flare up into a potential nuclear Armageddon as well.

I think its past time to dig a big hole and pull the door shut behind me.

History is coming to a close, as foretold over 2,000 years ago. Are you ready to be a survivor ?

This is why we prep.

Thats just propaganda aimed at shaping the way they want Americans to think. They are trying to make citizens think that America will quickly be victorious; that there is a clear objective rather than just occupying land indefinitely; that Russia wont expand a conflict with NATO out of Eastern Europe; and that Ukraine has attrited their forces.

This would just be another protracted war that fills the pockets of the wealthy elite with tax dollars and not a war to decisively win. For context, the US never wins in a war of attrition (everything after WW2 except Desert Storm).

I'm not worried about Russia being broken up. It's the US that we ought to be worried about. So we gave Russia big bad sanctions. Russia is richer than ever. The sanctions only put more money in their pockets.

I've heard a number of people mention that Biblical prophecy doesn't seem to see the US as being a major player in the coming catastrophic events. Russia, however, is. One can agree or disagree with those things but with the current trend of leadership in the US, I don't find that to be a far-fetched idea.

Where does this "stuff" come from (other than Russian propaganda)???

I find it "interesting" how anyone can overlook the rampant inflation, super high interest rates businesses closing and somehow still claim Russia is somehow "richer than ever" I mean the truth is very simple to find outside of RT etc.

Putin running to NK & VN certainly is not some sign "things are awesome" I mean seriously...

One thing Russia has going for it is a leader who knows who he is, where he is, and is aware of his actions and their consequences.
Wonder why he threatens to Nuke the US & West then???

"Sanctions are hitting the Russian military industrial complex hard, causing severe delays and increasing costs. An inability to access Western components is severely undermining Russia's production of new systems and repairs of old systems, with long-term consequences for the quality of weapons produced," they said.Feb 21, 2024

I could easily put up 50+ showing this - it ain't what some want you to believe (at all)

Outside the MIC, the lack of access to western hardwares is crippling production of durable goods. Russia developed a big regional jet called the SuperJet. Bigger than any RJ flown by American carrier, but smaller than a A320/737. They were already trying to build an all domestic version for internal use as well as to export to countries the US bans (Iran being the major one). With the Ukraine sanctions, not only have they failed to ceritify a domestic version, but they are having a hard time keeping the old ones flying built with western sourced parts. It’s not just the engines, it’s stupid little valves and thungs like avionics and APU where companies have mastered the production, and everyone goes to them. Names like Parker, Thales, Collins, Honeywell. etc. the designers of the Superjets. This is not superpower technology, Brazil builds excellent RJs.

Because if he is pushed into a corner by the west (such as threatening to break up Russia into 200 + provinces), he realises he has nothing left, so will go out with a flash/bang and take a lot of the world with him.

Read Hal turners piece above.
Hal Turner is a hack. Nobody is going to break up the russia into 200 provinces. As for pootin ...
One thing Russia has going for it is a leader who knows who he is, where he is, and is aware of his actions and their consequences.
He clearly has no idea of the consequences of his actions or he wouldn't be doing what he is doing. His mother russia is a global pariah. He is wanted for war crimes. His 3-day 'special military operation' is now on day 714. He's gone begging to nork and the little fat man for ammo. He sent some of his navy to cuba along with a 'salvage tug' to drag it back home just in case.

He jumped the shark and still doesn't realize it. All he's got are threats to nuke the west which tells me he's got nothin'.

All true.

But......

He is getting away with it so far.

Thanks comdot, pretty sure the lyric was from Sting but thinking of Cold War songs had an unintended tragic consequence. 99 Luftballons is now stuck in my head. It took until about ‘87 to get it out of my head after it came out. Curse my feeble mind.

I respectfully disagree. Putin is an egotistical son of a bitch. He sees himself as the greatest ruler that Russia has ever had. He is also aware that if he launches nuclear weapons then there will be a retaliatory strike.

Even if he and his two daughters were to survive such a devastating reaction, what would he rule over? A veritable wasteland that once was a very beautiful country, with many wonderful people. Not all Russian people are bad or want war with anyone. Many of them are like many of us, they just want to be left alone and live their lives.

Also, Putin does honestly believe that he is the only person that could rule the world. Hell, his name, Vladimir, literally means "Ruler of the World". In his belief, he adversely believes that he was ordained by God to rule the world. So much so that when he was a KGB agent stationed in Germany, he did as he pleased and was almost arrested for treason against Russia.

I could be wrong that he won't launch nuclear weapons, but I hope even with all of his yes men, that he would have enough sense to not destroy two beautiful countries as well as millions of lives.

#27 ·
He doesn't need to 'win', just leave the world a smoking, radioactive mess. His attitude is 'if I cant have it, no one else can either'.

Kids don't enter into his calculations, all egotistical rulers are the same.

Bring it on, whilst I am still young enough to survive on our land.

About 6 to 8 weeks ago, one of the big reinsurance "clubs" (traditional Br Eng term for syndicate or association) specializing in big cargo boats declared their members (much of Western world) will not recognize Ru insurance for the "ghost" fleet of ships in compliance with the sanctions program.

About this same time - just slightly afterward - China, still keeping itself squeaky clean re sanctions violations - made a public announcement.

China pulled out their "Unequal Treaties" catalog and announced that the China-Russia treaty of 1859 and the follow-on one of 1860 were "illegal" and must be rectified immediately. These 2 treaties ceded the Port of Vladovostok (VVO) and environs to Russia. The other Unequal treaty ceded a large block of land northward (but not near the White Sea).

Factor this into thoughts/proposed plans when Putin and Co disestablished.

I anticipate the TransSiberian RR to be upgraded with better dining.

I also anticipate the VVO loss and gain to China merely maintains my view that not too much is new under the sun.

Russia has been a menace to the West since circa 1922 after Czar overthrown/assassinated. (and US Army expeditionary force lost to the Bolsheviks causing US retreat back to Manila).

It's getting interesting.

wow. I haven't heard about this at all.
I wonder if China will backstab Putin, watch Russia collapse, and move in to retake those places.
I seriously doubt Russia could stop them, and no one else in the world will do anything about it.
(oh, that's why Putin signed a treaty with NKor. to counterbalance China. right.)

Any of us that are over 60 will remember the Cuban misslle crisis we lived with russian BS threats back then too where they bluffed and blundered their way trying to put fear in the hearts of the US and Other World Leaders, Those threats were about testing the water to see if the west would back down.

He well knows that if he does launch One Nuke it will be taken down and if he launches 2 or more that the US and all Nato Countries will hit russia from all sides and that will wipe out every viable living space in russia. Like hitler is won't be long before one of putin's own turns on him and his remains will be dumped somewhere in the bush because at some point all his cronnies will get P'off with having their assets siezed because of putin,

That Hal Turner is having his desired effect coz he has even got people here talking about him, He's a Big Mouth who just wants people to listen / worship Him, If there is 💩 to be thrown then you can bet his finger prints will be in it just like the last election and now this, The man can't survive without his Fan Club and his 15 minutes of fame and he will use any conflict to get his Drug / Fix,

People need to stop giving that turner any merrit, the bloke can't make it in a mans world and is notjhing more than a wind bag, What's his Next Soap Box Event, maybe his time as Navy Seal or a Green Beret or how he helped Neil Armstrong down the Ladder on the Moon Landing,

That Hal Turner sounds like a right ****, He is trying to get his 15 minutes of fame AGAIN,

Yes I remember it, The rumblings of it continued well in to the 70's early 1980's,

Russian Aircraft have been buzzing US and Canadian Fisherman in the past couple of years and have been escorted from UK waters trying to goad the US, Canada and the UK in to a situation so they can use it to fuel their objectives, just like china and NV,

Because of the Cuban issue most of us grew up under the threat of Nukes, The threats and the Lie's remain the same only the faces change, I am surprized that the western world ever started doing bussiness with russia after what happened with Cuba, The US and Canada and the whole of Europe helped save russia during WWII and this is how they repay the favour,

The whole of Europe and the Westen World should just blank russia and not even acknowledge that they even exist unless they are provoking us.

Plenty of us would LOVE Peace, the problem is with leaders like Putin who want invasions and wars due their own greed and egos. "Pretending" they're something that they're not helps no one - ever.

Re # 37;

Western companies continued to do business with Ru/USSR afterward because they "needed" the business. The domestic US economy is economically restricted concurrent with not being business-friendly (in the business sense of the term).

Post USSR, Ru is weak in industrial production, transportation and distribution. Russia is up there in state of the art status with intelligence collections well beyond traditional military. Was told that Cuba still maintains a paradise government because USSR/Ru renewed gave some material to Tavarish Senor Castro that can really harm the US.

Hal Lindsey was once described as "the PT Barnum of the Apocalypse". How anyone can take this huckster seriously.....

As for Putin--threatening nuclear war on an almost weekly basis? That's not "strong leadership". It's the sign of a weak man who knows his country is rocking on its heels economically. Made Russia into an international pariah. Has to rely on bluster and "threats" (that all too many are fooled into believing) to get attention. And reliant on such dubious "friends", as North Korea's Fat Dictator Kimmy-boy and a bunch of reactionary mullahs in Iran. Not to mention a shifty and opportunistic China.

[President] Putin--threatening nuclear war... bluster and "threats" (that all too many are fooled into believing)... reliant on such dubious "friends", as North Korea...and... Iran. Not to mention a shifty and opportunistic China.
.
Any time I want to convince everybody I am a whack-job, I associate with known whacks, and I do it publicly.
.
a -- the chinese are DOA, dead-in-the-water, a deceased society with locks on the exit-doors.
.
The chinese cities are empty new never-used ruins.
The chinese import nearly 100% of their food, partly because of BOLSHEVIKS incompetence.
The chinese are reliant on hand-outs from American tax-payers... another example of the foreign-aid skim-scam popular with D.C. politicians.
.
Without hand-outs from American tax-payers, the chinese quickly devolve into subsistence and starvation.
The chinese are zero threat to anybody except the chinese.
.
b -- the Iranian people just want to be left alone.
Although mostly self-sufficient, the people of Iran rely on hand-outs from American tax-payers.
.
c -- the people of North Korea rely on hand-outs from American tax-payers.
Without Americans, that area ceases to exist.
The so-called 'North Korea' returns to 'barren waste-land'.
.
.
And speaking of cities -- chinese or otherwise -- as we see in pretty much any down-town area, without the artificial prop-up provided by bureaucrats working in offices, down-town businesses shut, the whole place returns to its...
...Stable State.
.
Definition of cities in their Stable State:
* abandoned haunts for feral foragers scampering in and disassembling anything of recyclable value, then skedaddling back to the sanity of the countryside.
.
Decades ago during their hey-day, cities imported 100% of their food and water.
Their exports are garbage and sewage and 'laws' (some over-lap).
.
.
My focus is on those things and events I can control.
I have zero control over space rocks and a tsunami.

It never stopped, we just thought it did.
Meanwhile nuclear subs are prowling for their strikes.
Nuclear subs are ALWAYS prowling. Ours and theirs.
I wonder if China will backstab Putin, watch Russia collapse, and move in to retake those places.
Interesting thought.
One can do a lot of speculating but I do believe there may be some territory in between "no nukes ever being used" and "every nuke on the planet flies".
I think pootin thinks that he can get away with using tactical nukes in Ukraine and the west won't retaliate. I think the west needs to make it VERY clear that it would retaliate and there is no winner of a nuclear war.
willing to bet your life that once russia is on the precipice of total defeat, that they won't activate a last-ditch nuclear deterrent?
Please tell me you see the major flaw in the above?
I saw it too. Russia isn't at risk of total defeat. A loss in Ukraine isn't any form of total defeat just like its loss in Afghanistan wasn't.

I agree with much of this, but because Russia is a dictatorship, and putin has staked everything on Ukraine, it is tantamount to total defeat for him, and he is russia.

Putin humiliates himself of his own doing. He owns his own mess entirely. Putin underestimated Ukraine- tough cookies for him...

WE(the West) Really need to stop this fear mongering that Putin is going to nuke everyone every single day - he hasn't and is not.

Bullies do not respond to anything other than greater force Or the threat of greater force(s). This is why he is always whining about NATO (pretending they're being offensive when they are not)

Doing nothing Only emboldens Putin making him think he can do even more to other Nations- he is not free to invade every Nation he thinks he should possess nor to steal their children and resources on his whims- the sooner he gets that message the better for the rest of the World. That is not the answer, notice the results with Georgia and then Crimea- of course he only did more because no one cared enough to stop him- now we are seeing him sweat- I'm OK with that - more than OK actually.
