I am concerned about riots after a Trump win. The delusional left brainwashed by leftist main stream media will see themselves as fighting fascism, which we know is a lie. Fascist, socialist and communist use violence to bring about political change. The brainwashed youth are too dumb to realize the are the very thing they claim to be fighting against.

We have a little over 2 weeks before election. I suspect Trump will win which may lead to antifa riots in major cities. Biden may win the popular vote, which will renew calls to abolish the electoral college. Why may Biden win the popular vote? Because of yellow dog cities in California and New York.

If Antifa / BLM will tear down a statue to Lincoln, then there are no limits to what they will do.

I imagine a lot of them see themselves as revolutionaries such as Lenin, but they overlook the horrors and crimes against humanity brought by communism. Then again, they believe "true communism" has never been tried, expect for a few months after the Russian revolution.

So we are left with a paradox, people who "think" they are doing the right thing, but history has proven them wrong time and time again. They are pitted against a free republic where individual rights are protected.

So, with only a couple of weeks left until the election, what are preppers in at risk areas doing to prepare for the 2020 elections?

Maybe we can take this a step further and ask if any of the urban dwellers in communist strongholds are considering relocating to free republic states?

Part of my fall garden is planted, thanks to my son. Firearms are cleaned and ready, but I doubt rural areas will have many issues. I can not think of anything special I need to do expect maybe pick up a few more odds and ends such as meat to put in the deep freezer. I may pick up a slab or two of baby back ribs. If the election goes ok then the ribs will be cooked for new years.

Picture of pit for the fun of it.

I think it will be worse than one side or the other winning. It is likely that the votes will not be in and fully counted for weeks. In the meantime, I expect instability, violence, riots, etc. in large cities. I live within the range of the commuter rail of a large city and I am hoping that the suburban nature of the neighborhood forestalls too much direct impact. Meanwhile the case count in my state has ramped up awfully quickly.

I have stocked up on everything I can think of and will plan to hunker down, but it is hard not to worry.

I will be surprised if we even get a new president by January. It could be a supreme Court decision. So I'm not expecting the big day because I think it will be decided then.
As far as antifa, they may believe. So did ISIS.
These youngsters are not prepared for what's waiting for them. Like all the college kids following burn Loot and murder around.
They will disappear.
I don't believe they are warriors.
We have alot of vets young and old and they would be jumping off if needed
The real issue is local and state gvmt trying to enhance their ability by arresting the anti protesters but as far as I hear no one will do much until the justice system breaks.
If Trump is re elected I think you are going to see him spin up enforcement no matter what state. The governor's in lefty states be dammed.
Protect the people.
They can sue him later

Not so sure about that. The Purge scenarios had a hardworking cast, good production values, reasonably informed scripting, reliable weaponry in use and relatively few protagonists battling each other - oh, and a quite-tidy series of endings. I don't see any of those in the near future.

Well said. :thumb:

Except I think Trump will win. There’s so much media noise but no bodies or voters behind it.

But the rest of your points....nailed it.
We have to keep in mind, the ONLY reason Trump won before, is that the Democrats underestimated how much voter fraud it is that that had to commit.

They wont make that mistake again.

Biden will win... what happens after is anybody's guess...

1) I think America will get more decadent and oppressive. I think Biden's reign will be a big joke.

2) I don't know about riots. I think they're kind of inevitable in the long run, but maybe we won't have the kind of big event around election day that we expected.

3) I'll also guess that right wingers will start to get a lot angrier.

I initially felt Trump landslide. Now seeing every mainstream and social media outlet suppressing any and everything they can Im not so sure.

I think either way there is impending violence that will spill into the streets. Rural areas will probably not notice much if any difference. Metro and inner city areas I suspect will have major increases in violent crimes, the lefties will have yet one more excuse to pillage and plunder, I think a lot of people will have had enough of that by that time and the masses will begin to stand up.

To answer Kev:
Personally, I live in the Austin metro area, I have been
-Stocking up on some different items, replacing some things that are expring.
-Going thought SOPs with the family
-Checking and rechecking, gear, admin, food, water, ammo repacking some bags
-Having the kids, especially, go over their contents.
-Communicating with folks that need to know what to expect from us.
-My oldest (15) doing different drills with me at the range.
-Reviewing/practicing TCCC and other perishable skills.

Just to list a few things. We do all that throughout the year, just a little more so the last 2 months or so. Sunday is family range day (maybe last before the election), so verifying all zeros with the good ammo after burning through the range ammo. After that cleaning and function checks refilling any mags with not FMJ/Ball ammo,

We usually pick something to focus on 1 weekend a month, lately every weekend we have been doing putting at least a whole day as a family into something above or related to.

Depending on how things go over the next 2 weeks we may take a trip 11/1~11/2 to an undisclosed location, much further away from the metro area. call it a mini vaca, link up with some folks

I agree Kev. I live in St Louis City with a Family Farm 40 Miles South of my Location. Things have been moved there and may watch the Election From that Location. Its going to be like all "The Purge" movies combined, with no 12 hour limit.
That would actually be nice to see, because I know who the winner will be.

It would only need to happen one time and we probably would not see miscreants rioting in the streets for at least a generation because it would take at least a generation to regenerate their numbers.

Be vigilant in the days leading up to the election, no matter who wins expect something to go down. Voting site mayhem to keep people home would be one I'd watch for. Piles of bricks that magically appear on sidewalks are another harbinger.

I plan to vote early and get out, head home or stay close to home. If the election is contested, be ready for a siege in the usual cities that burned all summer. It can very well spill into the 'burbs as we have had lots of BLM "protests" around me that may go very hot this time around.

I live in a very small college town in a rural area. Ordinarily I'd figure we're insulated from all the crap, but there are just enough idiot professors and their minions that we might get some protesting and perhaps even rioting.

Our police force isn't large enough to deal with a major demonstration, they'd have to call in sheriff's deputies and who knows who else?

My hope is that local leadership, such as it is, calms things down. Back in the George Floyd protest days, there was supposed to be a demonstration downtown on a Saturday night, near the bars. My first thought, especially when hearing reports that pallets of bricks would also be delivered downtown, was that it was intentionally designed to create a riot.

What could possibly go wrong when you couple together drunk people and pallets of bricks?

Fortunately this was defused, but the anger following a Trump win would be much greater, IMO. I'll be looking for indicators of planned violence.

I don't think my neighborhood would be targeted; it's location isn't in a place that's easy to reach, and there are more attractive "rich people" targets closer to the center of town and the college. But I will be up that night, watching, listening, and the next day too.

There's a good chance we won't have a clear winner on election night, so the vigilance will have to continue until and past the time a winner is declared.

There's a confluence of events happening right now, any one of which speaks to being prepared, and the fact that there are several such things happening at once, well, the situation demands preparedness:

Election
Pandemic
Economic disruption
Money printing by the Fed
Huge deficit spending
Huge unemployment

If not now, when?

I agree with that. Why would anyone think Trump will [win]. There's nothing logical pointing to that. Nothing except hoping and wishing.
Nothing logical? What's illogical is the insanity of hearing the exact same predictions four years ago for Hillary that are being made for Biden. What's also illogical is ignoring the massive grass roots support grow even larger this election cycle for Trump than the last; there is ZERO enthusiasm for Biden-Harris and that has proven, historically, to translate to fewer votes. Simply put, "Trump-Hate" won't produce votes. Trump will win in a landslide and it won't even be close; my concern are local elections and how they will be manipulated for the DNC to keep the House and try and turn the Senate.

Regardless, if you live near a liberal, democrat run city, stay away from down-town. Any democratic leadership that doesn't back their law-enforcement to quell riots will turn into violence. My wife and I will lay low for a week or so, but we live in a rural area and the largest metropolitan area about 40 miles away is heavily conservative. There is a vast, silent majority that is being overlooked, and it includes a large number of Blacks, Latinos and other minorities. The "polls" are rigged and the pundits aren't reporting, they're manufacturing a narrative...it failed before, it will fail even bigger this time.

Always be prepared and remain situationally aware, but I am far more optimistic this election than I was four years ago...
