Which party do you think will turn things around? Do you really believe changing from one party to another has helped or will help America? Is there really a voice of the people among all these elected officials or are they just saying what everyone wants to hear? What is your take on our political system?

This cartoon sums up my opinion of our political system (federal, state and local).

Now, ask me if you think our representatives actually work for us.

Sure, the Cardassians proved to be capable of sustaining a military rule over the people. But the moment someone stronger with promises of grandeur came along they betrayed their principles for a chance at power. In the end it just lead them to ruin in every sense of the word.

The Klingons on the other hand hold on to a strong sense of honor. Yes they're militaristic and can be downright brutal at times, but at least they don't forget their principles as soon as something shiny is flashed before their eyes.

Martok for President! General Worf for Secretary of Defense! Live long the day, and let it be glorious at that!

Both parties represent the bankers...not the people. They are different sides of the same coin. So no, I don't see how it changes anything to vote based on "D" or "R".

To turn this country around we need to select INDIVIDUALS with strong libertarian leanings and no party alliances. Sadly, I think we are past the point where this will work and we are in for a hard reset.

When Mondale/Farahro ran I read the party platforms and was shocked to see what the Democrat party had become. The next day I changed party affiliation. But------- IMO the lobbiest and hangers on are so entrenched that it makes little difference in the big scheme of things. I intend to never vote for an incumbent again-especially here in demoncrap controlled NC. Purdue even wants to stop elections next year-crazy. One thing that I am positive about is that we have to vote that POS muzzie loving lying ultra liberal socialist out next year or we can kiss our republic goodbye.

"Republican, Democrat, or green party which party do you think will turn things arou{nd}?"
Answer: none of them.
No "party" will ever turn things around since they cater to a limited number of their financial supporters, rather than seeking what is best for our nation as a whole. Only the American citizenry as a whole will change things around, but they must first become motivated, and unite in the cause of our society as a whole, rather than their myopic self-interest and greed.
Right now it looks like that's a long way off.

No party will help us because there are no statesmen left in our government. Our politicians are in it for themselves and are no longer able to make decisions for the good of the country; they make politically expedient decisions only because they are desperate only to get reelected not to enhance the health of our country.

I usually vote Constitution party for lack of a decent choice, but I imagine if they did ever win anything they would be the same as the rest.

Remember that the only wasted vote is the one not cast.

For decades now the politicians have been telling us what we want to hear with the dollars from all of the lobbyists and then do just what the folks with all of the money want. The politicians main job is to get reelected and it takes those big dollars to tell us what we want to hear.

One vicious circle.

Then you have the folks feeding at the public trough who will vote for whomever promises the largest serving,,,, but that is another topic.

Parties appear to be the problem. They're just gangs hoping to get handouts from the Bilderbergs who select among them. I like a lot of what the Green Party represents, but have seen enough of them to conclude that they're either bent on self-destruction or are somewhat co-opted by those who incite their ruin. I don't pin any hopes on parties at all.

Can you name any theocracies compatible with democracy or civil liberties, separation of church and state, or didn't become run by extremists?

If the government can't run a war, economy, or health care, do you want them managing church too? The Holy Roman Empire paid lip-service to the Christian totem for centuries, and what good did it do them?
