Just saw this recall and thought you might be interested. Unfortunately mine is subject... But I can get 40% off outrageously over priced products. I should have bought a Ruger.
Be interesting to see how long it takes to get it back.
Here is the link to check your serial.

WARNING:

STOP USING YOUR RIFLE. Any unintended discharge has the potential for causing injury or death. Immediately stop using your rifle until Remington can inspect it to determine if the XMP trigger has excess bonding agent used in the assembly process, which could cause an unintentional discharge and, if so, specialty clean and restore it to a safe operating condition. If you own a rifle subject to this recall, Remington will provide shipping, inspection, specialty cleaning, and return at no cost to you. DO NOT attempt to diagnose or repair your rifle yourself.

Do yourselfs a favor and get a nice aftermarket like a Timney trigger. They are nicer trigger and the problem is solved. By the time you add in shipping and such why not just get a new one and have an extra if something goes wrong in the future.

On and off I've considered an aftermarket 700 trigger but the AR's had priority for new triggers. Local benchresters swear by Shilen triggers. I have a BOLD trigger in a Mauser and it's nicer than the Rem Mark X.

I'll send that 700 in and see what the trigger feels like, if its still the same feel then it'll be replaced. Its a Tactical model that shoots .5 MOA without trying and I don't want to dump an accurate rifle just because of a sub-par trigger.

My 30.06 Lefty is on the recall list. I am thinking that I don't want to go through the hassels of sending it in and just may have an after market trigger put in.

Can someone who has changed their trigger please give me a ball park figure of what that may cost? I have never had a trigger job done on any of my guns before. I just learned to live with what I got. Thanks

Funny I checked mine this weekend and it is also on the recall list. I had already been debating the Timney route for a while now. If I hadn't just ordered way too many gun items in the past month I would just order the aftermarket trigger... I guess I will send it back and see how it goes..

my # says its on the list. i bought it used, and it has a full AICS system. i think it has the AICS adjustable trigger.....but not 100% sure. ive only shot it once. is mine still on the recall list?

It's still on the list. If it has a new trigger, the original problem is taken care of. If it is original trigger in the AICS then nothing has changed.

Up to you to send it in or not, but they will cover the shipping to look at it.

its my first modern bolt gun, so i dont even know if its the original trigger or not. guess sending it in wont hurt anything, as long as they dont take out the AICS trigger, if it has one
