Hi, I have the opportunity to purchase a remington 600 Mohawk .308w. This is not a common rifle in Sweden ( where I live ) and I have little knowledge about it. I like the looks of it and it is a nimble and lightweight rifle.

It wold be a nice complement to my other guns: a mossberg 500 and a winchester 94 30-30.

Is this a good gun to buy? Please help.

But you might want to consider somethign that would be easier to get parts/acessories for due to your location.

No longer produced, but these were excellent light weight short action guns, and 308 is a pretty good all around hunting cartridge. The 600 was very accurate as a rule, due to a short stiff action and barrel. A lot of varmint hunters used them re-barreled with longer and heavier barrels for accurate long range shooting.

Great rifle , had one in 243 .

Nothing to fear , as long as its been taken care of .
