I used to work in a machine shop, one night we killed one that weighed just under three pounds. We weighed it on a postal scale at 2.9 lb if I recall correctly. A man that worked at this machine shop for years called it a sewer rat and killed others on occasion.

We have them like that here in Texas, they are called Nutria, they are all over the creeks, rivers, bayous and lakes.

They infiltrated from South America. Louisiana is over run with them, at one time the state was going to put a bounty on them. I don't know if they still have it.

I'll tell you what, they make me cringe when I see those ugly suckers.

12ga semi-auto loaded with #4's is my preference. I'll dump the whole mag on them.....I don't care, shells aren't that expensive!

High powered rifle with varmint bullets turns them into red mist too!

To the OP- I hate you now. ;)

Thanks a lot- I'll start to have nightmares again that I stopped having years back.

I hate rats. My wife will probably hate you also 'cause I tend to flail a lot when I dream of them.

I had them running over me when I was sleeping and people next to me were bitten by them. I remember waking up one night and one was on my chest looking at me... Had one in a boot one morning- that was fun..

Those are the things nightmares are made of. We push those incidents back into our mind and try not to revisit them, but they are always there. :(

Bad times! Show me shuddering! I can adapt to spiders and snakes okay, but rats...?

I'm thinking you maybe shouldn't have opened a thread titled 'Ratzilla'.

Didn't realize what the OP meant. For all I knew it was a thread about hillary.

R.O.U.S.'s (sorry, had to)
LOL. Now that made the whole threat better. After all, those really exist. ;)
